The Israel Film Festival in Los Angeles released a statement today after Jason Blum made anti-Donald Trump remarks during his honorary speech last night, saying “the Festival did not in any way remove Jason Blum from the stage. To protect him when an audience member in no way associated with the Festival charged the podium, the Festival security ushered Blum off the stage.”
Blum’s speech triggered boos, and for a moment at the onset of the Facebook video below, it looks as though the Get Out and Halloween producer is being forcibly pulled off stage. This is soon followed by a loud speaker voice booming, “We need security on stage immediately please”. Blum is seen finishing his remarks, ending his speech with “Now I’m being physically removed, which is why Trump is not the right guy for us.” The producer then walks off stage. Blum’s team...

Blum, who was receiving the festival’s Achievement in Film & Television Award, started his acceptance speech by saying, “The great thing about this country is that you can like Trump, but I don’t have to, and I can say what I feel about it — and I don’t like it!”
