Rocker Richie Sambora is now a techpreneur — with hopes of turning celebritydom into billions for charity.
The former Bon Jovi guitarist has co-founded Csnaps.org – an app that allows fans, celebrities and charities to share photos, videos, news and personal stories while raising money for important causes.
“When I heard a billion dollars could have been raised with one selfie — Ellen DeGeneres’ 2014 Oscar selfie — I thought, ‘Why give that away for free, when that kind of money could be funneled toward important causes?’” Sambora tells People. “And so, Csnaps.org was born.”

Richard Glatzer, co-director of the critically acclaimed film Still Alice, has died following a battle with Als, People confirms. He was 63. Glatzer died less than three weeks after the 2015 Oscars ceremony, which included star Julianne Moore picking up a Best Actress trophy for her portrayal of a Columbia University professor coping with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. I saw Zooey Deschanel sing before I saw her act. It was at a pre-Oscars house party in Los Angeles in 2002 or 2003. Deschanel and another actress, Samantha Shelton, had formed a duo called If All The Stars Were Pretty Babies—taken from the title of a 1926 song by Billy Rose and Fred Fisher—and were performing occasional gigs around town. That night, they were the evening’s entertainment.
