Hilarie Burton Morgan (The Walking Dead) returns to host season two of SundanceTV, AMC+ and Sundance Now’s True Crime Story: It Couldn’t Happen Here. The six-episode second season premieres on April 18, 2024 with an episode that explores the murder of a teenage girl in Benton, Missouri.
Additional season two episodes of the documentary series air on Wednesdays at 10pm Et/Pt.
“Fighting injustice in our country is a long and arduous process, and unfortunately, the resources to do so are oftentimes out of reach for our most vulnerable communities,” said Burton Morgan. “As we head into this new season of It Couldn’t Happen Here, we are seeing growing momentum in the progress of our past cases – forensic testing, new hearings, wrongful imprisonment compensation, new witnesses coming forward – and it only solidifies our team’s desire to tell these stories with empathy and urgency.”
