Dave Bautista has been jumping on board a lot of film projects recently! The guy is definitely keeping himself busy and he’s got another new film project lined up. It’s for an action thriller called Killer’s Game and it sounds like it could end up being a wild flick!
Bautista will play a hitman in the story who finds out that he has terminal cancer. So what does he do? He decides to put a hit contract on his own life. But, as you might expect there’s a little twist. He later discovers that the lab made a mistake and he’s actually in perfect health. This puts him in a position where he has to battle an army of assassins who are out to kill him.
The movie is being directed by D.J. Caruso and it’s actually based on a book written by Jay Bonansinga.

How did the idea for ‘The Ultimate Guide to Strange Cinema’ come about originally?
Well like I explain in my foreword I gained a lot of inspiration from fanzines which was where you had to get film education pre-Internet age. Also, this book is sort of a love letter to my VHS renting days at my local mom and pop store. Writing this book brought me right back to being young and sitting in my room devouring every fan zine I could and the excitement of learning about films like The Beyond and going to the rental shop and checking out crazy stuff like Psychos in Love. I wasn’t sure if other fans would also get a nostalgic thrill out of a reference guide, but a number of people have really respond to it, which they consider a lost art.
What can people expect from the book?

The Oregon city is the first to use Ibm's app to help cities figure out how policy can affect the lives of their citizens. But can any algorithm quantify the whole experience of city living?
Can the complexity of cities really be reduced to a single set of equations, as the physicist Geoffrey West claims, or even 3,000 of them? Is it really true, as West’s numbers would indicate, that Corvallis, Oregon--a city of 55,000 two hours’ drive south of Portland--is the most innovative city in America? Perhaps there’s something in the water, or it may have more to do with the fact that West's model loves patents and Hewlett Packard’s Advanced Products Division is based there, along with its patent portfolio, one developed by thousands of researchers worldwide.
West’s conclusions are only as good as the data and the models (patents equal innovation) he has to work with.

Back in 2006, Gigantic Graphic Novels published the first installment of an intended trilogy called Hellcity, written by Macon Blair (one of the stars of the indie horror/comedy feature Murder Party) and illustrated by Joe Flood. Unfortunately, financial problems prevented Hellcity’s story from further being told—until now. The complete Hellcity is coming July 21 from Image Comics, and Blair gave us some details and background on the project.
