Is there any actor who casually oozes coolness like Kurt Russell?
As with anyone in Hollywood, the young Russell had to earn his stripes. Upon signing a contract with the Mouse House, he started out anchoring a collection of zany Disney comedies in the '60s and '70s, including "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes," "The Strongest Man in the World," and "The Barefoot Executive," a movie that paired him opposite a chimpanzee. Beginning with their 1979 made-for-tv "Elvis" biopic, however, Russell and director John Carpenter collaborated on a series of highly efficient yet firmly modest genre films, many of which became cult hits and cemented their too-cool-for-school reputation.
Russell has only continued to evolve his legacy in the 21st century, starring in everything from cult favorites as worlds apart as "Sky High" and "Bone Tomahawk" to Quentin Tarantino joints and blockbuster franchises like the Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Fast...

Though America's Got Talent has been a huge ratings success for NBC, the show has not done much in the way of producing superstars. There are the rare examples of the Matt Franco's and Terry Fator's but these guys are few and far between. Plus they both fit a niche that no other reality show can really produce. It's not like a singing impersonator/ventriloquist is a market with a lot of competition. America's Got Talent has been essentially dry when it comes to producing singing sensations. Bianca Ryan being the only true success when grading on a steep scale.
In season 11, that might very well change. In Tuesday's episode the judging panel and America met Grace VanderWaal, an adorable 12-year old ukulele player who gained a Golden Buzzer and high praise from Simon Cowell. Grace could very well be the first singing superstar to get her start on America's Got Talent.

Donna Langley had a very big day on Wednesday at CinemaCon. Not only did she host Universal’s late-afternoon product presentation before thousands of theater owners at the Colisseum Theatre in Caesars Palace, she also was honored that evening when the Will Rogers Foundation named her Pioneer Of The Year. With colleagues Ron Meyer and Jeff Shell rooting her on, Langley’s night actually started with the act of magician Matt Franco, who pulled off some pretty amazing card…...

We are heading into the final stretch of season 7 of The Voice, folks. Do not -- I repeat, do not -- call it at this point. Don't think you know what the final results will be. Believe me, I speak from experience after getting burned with the results of this summer's America's Got Talent results when Matt Franco walked away with the whole kit and caboodle. Granted, he deserved the hell out of that win, but I was gunning just as hard or harder for his competitor, Emily West (whom I secretly wish would come over here to The Voice and give this bunch a run for their money). Between the two talent shows, I can't say which I've enjoyed more. As my dad would say, the one that's in front of you is the one you have to focus on. So today and this entire fall it's definitely been The Voice.
