Mike believes he has a plan that will set the wheels in motion to get the gang leaders released as Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown season two episode six gets underway. Mike (Jeremy Renner) meets with Wendy (Sandrine Holt) from the Warwick Group and reveals he knows the inmates are being used as slave labor and that even the guard dogs are eating better than the prisoners. Wendy doesn’t care because it’s working and that’s all that matters.
If he doesn’t like it, then he can just move aside.
Mike proposes a deal: if Wendy helps him get Bunny released, then he’ll be in her debt. She just needs to make the Da sign the release. He’s forced to admit he can...

When Jack Champion found out five years ago that he was auditioning for James Cameron’s long-awaited Avatar sequel, the actor — then 12 — watched the original 2009 film every day for a month. “Three hours, every day,” says Champion, now 18. “It was one of my favorite movies growing up.”
Coming off appearances in the 2018 comedy-horror film The Night Sitter and a small role in Avengers: Endgame, Champion plays Miles “Spider” Socorro in Avatar: The Way of Water. He underwent a lengthy audition process to score the role. “It was four months, starting with self-tapes,” he recalls, “and then I met with the casting director [Margery Simkin] over Skype. It was a lot of auditioning. I never was like, ‘Oh, I’m definitely gonna get the role.’ Because I think as an actor, you don’t want to set yourself up for being sad. You’re always just thankful,...

This article contains spoilers for Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 8
Ever since the first trailer for Jessica Gao’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law came out, there’s one talking point that’s been dominating the conversation. In fact, ever since Netflix cancelled the last of its Defenders shows in 2019, there’s been talk about when Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Punisher, and all the rest will be superhero landing into the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe.
When it comes to She-Hulk, the trailer didn’t bother wasting our time by trying to hide Matt Murdock like Spider-Man: No Way Home did. Still, after a tantalising tease at the end of episode 5, we were more than a little bummed it took another three weeks before we got Daredevil’s introduction. The return of Charlie Cox’s Man Without Fear was music to our ears (quite literally) in the latest episode of She-Hulk,...

Following the groundbreaking release of “Avatar” in 2009, James Cameron’s epic sci-fi franchise about a humanoid species called the Na’vi is finally back with the first of several sequels. After a 13-year gap, the saga will pick up with “Avatar: The Way of Water” in December before continuing on with what are currently being dubbed “Avatar 3”, “Avatar 4” and “Avatar 5” in 2024, 2026 and 2028, respectively.
Stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver and others look back on the original while teasing what’s to come as “The Way of Water” picks up on their story over a decade later.
“It’s been about 10 years,” Weaver tells Et of the time she’s committed to the franchise since starring in the first one. “And then, in the meantime, Jim Cameron has written four amazing stories about what is now a family, the Sully family. And so, the stakes are higher. There are more amazing characters.

Director James Cameron’s long-awaited “Avatar: The Way of Water” closed out the Marvel, Lucasfilm and 20th Century panel at the D23 Expo Saturday by handing out 3-D glasses to everyone in the audience and showing off six extended scenes from the movie.
The new clips weren’t released online, but stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang and producer Jon Landau were there in person to introduce the footage. Cameron appeared virtually to debut the exclusive D23 clips, which were richly detailed and made extensive and impressive use of 3-D technology. Surprisingly, however, Cameron did not provide any advance context for what the D23 Expo audience was about to see: No explanation about who the new characters are, what their relationships are to each other, or how each scene connects to the larger story. Indeed, whatever the larger story is for “The Way of Water” remains rather unclear after the presentation,...

Thanks to New Zealand’s containment of Covid-19, James Cameron has been able to continue full speed ahead on his “Avatar” sequels. In fact, he’s almost done filming not just one, but two of them.
At the 2020 Austrian World Summit, Cameron sat down earlier this week for a remote one-on-one with his “Terminator” compatriot, Arnold Schwarzenegger, where he discussed the progress he’s made on his plans to turn his 2009 sci-fi box office record-breaker into a five-film saga.
“The day we deliver ‘Avatar 2,’ we’ll just start working on finishing ‘Avatar 3,'” Cameron said. “So where we are right now, I’m down in New Zealand shooting. We’re shooting the remainder of the live-action. We’ve got about 10% left to go. We’re 100% complete on Avatar 2, and we’re sort of 95% complete on Avatar 3.”

A small Avatar 2 crew is heading back to New Zealand to complete filming on the first sequel to James Cameron’s 2009 box office smash. They will reportedly enter a two-week quarantine period before production restarts on the long-in-gestation movie.
Producer Jon Landau confirmed the move in a new interview with Rnz, where he explained that the country’s excellent response to the Covid-19 pandemic has allowed work on Avatar 2 to resume more quickly than on other projects.
“We feel very comfortable because of the actions of [the Nz] government and also the responsibility the people took to really curb the virus there,” he said. “So we feel we’re coming back to the safest place in the world possible thanks to a team of people that we’ve worked with. We believe we have a very thoughtful, detailed and diligent safety plan that will keep everybody as safe as possible in these unprecedented times.

(L-r) Josh Mauga, Cliff Curtis, Dwayne Johnson, Roman Reigns and John Tui in the new Fast & Furious
Actor Cliff Curtis modestly acknowledges he is not a brand or a marquee name, despite a vast body of work which includes Once Were Warriors, Whale Rider, The Dark Horse, Blow, Three Kings, The Insider, Sunshine, Training Day, Collateral Damage and Crossing Over.
That could soon change as Curtis plays a key role in the latest iteration of Universal’s Fast & Furious franchise, followed by a recurring character in all four of James Cameron’s Avatar epics.
In Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw he plays the brother of Dwayne Johnson’s character, diplomatic security agent Luke Hobbs, who teams up with mercenary Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) to stop a new threat — “super-human” terrorist Brixton (Idris Elba). Directed by David Leitch, the action adventure is due to open in August.

With Titanic and Avatar, director James Cameron has made two of the most financially successful movies ever! The director is now currently in production on his four Avatar sequels. It's going to be really interesting to see how those turn out and how audiences will react to them when they start to be released. Since the first movie was released, Marvel Studios has made a huge impact on Hollywood and the kinds of films that we are seeing today.
Over the past ten years, Marvel Studios has built something incredible and the hype for Avengers: Infinity War is epically exploding! It doesn't seem like the excitement for these films is going to die down anytime soon. But, that doesn't stop James Cameron from hoping that audiences will start getting "Avengers fatigue" soon! While talking to Indie Wire, the filmmaker said:
"I’m hoping we’ll start getting 'Avenger' fatigue here pretty soon.

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

Warner Brothers has released a promo for Rampage, starring Dwayne Johnson‘s muscles. The film is directed by Brad Peyton, with a screenplay by Ryan Engle and Carlton Cuse & Ryan J. Condal and Adam Sztykiel (that’s a mouthful) from a story by Ryan Engle, which based on the video game Rampage. This new promo does feature a few new bits of monster-on-monster action, but it’s pretty much attempting to use Johnson as the major selling point in this seemingly final trailer for the film. Even though Rampage recently saw it’s release date move forward a week in response to Infinity War doing the same, the film still seems poised to enjoy two weeks atop the box office.
What impresses me the most about this promo is that while cheeky at times, it serves to establish the tone of the film very well, especially when you include the self-shot footage by Johnson.

The massive monsters from Midway's video game franchise will be stomping into theaters one week early in the Us.
Directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas) and starring Dwayne Johnson, Rampage is now slated for an April 13th release from Warner Bros., bumping it up from its April 20th release, likely to give it more time in theaters before Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War comes into theaters a week earlier than expected on April 27th. News of the release date change comes from multiple sources, including Box Officie Mojo.
As someone who grew up spending countless hours playing Rampage World Tour and Rampage 2: Universal Tour on the PlayStation 1, I'm excited to see how George, Lizzie, and Ralphie are depicted on the big screen. Will you be watching it this April?

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for ‘Rampage‘, starring Dwayne Johnson. The film reunites Johnson with ‘San Andreas‘ director Brad Peyton, and seems pretty much in line with that film. If you’re into Dwayne Johnson standing against computer-generated cityscapes watching giant computer-generated monsters fight, then ‘Rampage‘ is definately for you. Although this trailer does a better job of selling the tone than the first, i’m still hesitant to think that this will be anything more than schlock popcorn cinema at it’s finest. At least the film seems to be having a fun time, but who knows?
Either way you slice it, Peyton directs from a screenplay by Ryan Engle and Carlton Cuse & Ryan J. Condal and Adam Sztykiel, story by Ryan Engle, based on the video game Rampage. Further solidifying himself as one of the most bankable men in all of Hollywood, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returns with Rampage, a big screen adaptation of the classic arcade game that’s seen a few sequels in the time since its original release. Granted, it’ll see some stiff competition in a year chock full of other blockbusters, but it does look like a lot of fun and stands a very good chance of attracting a fair amount of moviegoers.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has come up against some pretty formidable threats in his cinematic career – corrupt secret agents, Vin Diesel and the script for Baywatch…to name but three.
But in April, the former WWE megastar will be left facing an apocalyptic scenario like no other, as New Line’s Rampage is about to pummel its way into theaters. Loosely inspired by Midway’s arcade classic of the same name, the story of Rampage follows three super-sized creatures who wage war in Chicago, leaving Johnson’s primatologist Davis Okoye with little choice but to gear up and save the gorilla he once knew as George.
There is one possible snag, though; thanks to the genetic engineering conducted by the Griffin Technologies Group, George is now the size of a building, which ought to result in some pretty incredible spectacle when projected onto the silver screen.

Tomb Raider isn’t the only video game adaptation coming down the pipeline this year. Indeed, George is one of three animals to be grossly mutated as a result of a genetic experiment gone horribly, horribly wrong. The ‘Avatar‘ sequels are still a few years away, but James Cameron is currently out and about promoting his new series ‘AMC Visionaries: James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction‘. In the upcoming 6-part miniseries, Cameron explores the roots of science fiction and it’s impact on popular culture as a whole. With science fiction classics like the first two ‘Terminator‘ movies, and technological breakthroughs with films like ‘Titanic‘ and the original ‘Avatar‘, Cameron has certainly contributed his share of said impact on the sci-fi genre as a whole.
Naturally, the conversation shifted to the ‘Avatar’ sequels, which the director has been hard at work on for the last few years. Throughout the film’s tremendously long pre-production period, details have slowly begun to emerge. But now that the film is finally in production, Cameron seems to be revealing more and more about the project. Speaking at the TCA press tour this week,...

James Cameron has always been at the forefront of technology when making a movie. From the groundbreaking effects in ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day‘ to the invention of the motion capture technology used in the first ‘Avatar‘, Cameron always seems to be developing some new technology for his current project. Cameron’s output in the last decade of his career has pretty much been contained within the aforementioned ‘Avatar‘, as well as a few documentaries. But that doesn’t mean that James Cameron hasn’t been busy developing new technology in the meantime.
Since the release of ‘Avatar’ in late 2009 (hard to believe that was almost 8 years ago) Cameron has been busy developing the technology (and story) to build out the ‘Avatar‘ universe in interesting and unique ways. We don't know much about the story, but we do know that a lot of this first sequel is going to take place underwater and we are going to be introduced to a lot of new characters. The first trailer for Dwayne Johnson's big screen adaptation of Rampage has been unleashed and the movie actually looks like it's going to be a blast! The movie isn't going to win any awards or anything, but I liked what I saw in the trailer and I think fans of the classic game might like what they see. It's pretty much the game in big-budget movie form. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm excited to see the movie.
Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America,...

Since 1986, video gamers have been destroying cities on the screen with Midway's lovable massive monsters known as George, Lizzie, and Ralphie. In New Line Cinema's new movie Rampage, we'll see that world of colossal creatures brought to life on the big screen, and the first trailer for the film promises plenty of large-scale action with Dwayne Johnson on the front lines of the creature-centric carnage.
Directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas), Rampage is slated for an April 20th, 2018 release from Warner Bros. Check out the new trailer and poster below, and let us know what you think of the video game franchise being adapted for the big screen.

Giovanni Ribisi is officially set to reprise his role of Peter Selfridge in all four of James Cameron's Avatar sequels. It's been so long since I've seen the first movie that I completely forgot that Ribisi was even in the first movie!
Peter Selfridge was head administrator of the Rda and here are the details of the character in case you need a little refresher:
Selfridge was prepared to condone the killing of the native Na'vi, but, unlike Colonel Quaritch, hesitated to invoke bad press and trespass his personal morality. Unfortunately, both were unremittingly subservient to the Rda's profit margin. Selfridge was unable, or unwilling, to consider the Na'vi in human terms, dismissing the Omaticaya clan as "fly-bitten savages that live in a tree". Though he supported the long-planned destruction of the Omaticaya Hometree by Quaritch, he appeared to feel remorse upon witnessing the aftermath of the Rda fleet's assault on Hometree,...

Kate Winslet has joined the cast of James Cameron's Avatar sequels! This is actually really cool news. I've been a fan of the actress since I first saw her in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures. I also loved her in Titanic, which, as you know, is the film she worked with Cameron on. The two have apparently been wanting to work together since and they finally decided that these upcoming Avatar films would be the right time and project for them. When talking to Deadline, Jackson said:
"Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on Titanic, which was one of the most rewarding of my career. I can’t wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life."
There's no word on who this character Ronal is, how many of the films that she'll be in, or if she's a human or Na'vi.

It’s been nearly eight years since ‘Avatar‘ was released, but the road up to production on the ‘Avatar‘ sequels has been long and difficult. After years of production delays and an extended pre-production period to develop underwater Motion Capture technology, Director James Cameron‘s multi-film opus has finally entered production. Four concurrent sequels–‘Avatar 2‘, Avatar 3‘, ‘Avatar 4‘, and ‘Avatar 5‘– are currently shooting in Australia.
In addition to the production announcement, Deadline reports that the costs for the production of the four films is estimated to surpass $1 Billion. While this may seem like a very hefty number on the outset, when you consider that he’s making 4 movies that equal out to about $250 million per sequel. Cameron is used to making some of the most expensive movies of all-time (Avatar, Titanic, and Terminator 2 were all the most expensive films when they were released). So it’s hard...

James Cameron has been in pre-production on his Avatar sequels for years! It's been so long, and the release dates kept being pushed back that it never seemed like the movies were never going to happen. Well, this week Avatar 2 officially starts shooting.
The film will feature the return of Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, Matt Gerald, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang, who will be back as the main villain in all four Avatar sequels. When previously talking about that, Cameron said:
“The interesting conceit of the ‘Avatar’ sequels is it’s pretty much the same characters. There are new characters and a lot of new settings and creatures, so I’m taking characters you know and putting them in unfamiliar places and moving them on this greater journey. But it’s not a whole bunch of new characters every time. There’s not a new villain every time,...
