The Bloodhound Release: "Arrow Video will release Patrick Picard’s debut feature The Bloodhound in the US and UK on VOD on March 15th, and BluRay on March 22nd, 2021
First-time feature director Patrick Picard brings a fresh take to one of the best-known stories from the master of mystery and the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe, The Fall of the House of Usher, in his new slow-burner horror-thriller The Bloodhound, a hauntingly atmospheric tale described by The Hollywood News as “an impressively stylish and intellectual debut”.
Francis, a dispossessed young man, is summoned to the secluded home of his wealthy childhood friend, Jp Luret, who is suffering from a mysterious affliction. Upon his arrival, Francis realizes that Jp and his ethereal twin sister Vivian are the sole surviving members of the privileged Luret family, whose legacy has been one of depression and self-destruction, and the only occupants of their family estate.

"When in Texas, I dress like a Texan!" Get ready to blast back into the 80s! Alamo Drafthouse has revealed a new trailer for a long lost 80s action movie titled Action U.S.A., made by filmmaker John Stewart (not the comedian). The film has been found, restored, and just premiered at this year's Fantastic Fest (online) run by Alamo Drafthouse. And even better - the film is now available to watch online via their "Alamo On Demand" system for the next two weeks (but only in the US). What's the flimsy 80s action movie plot? After her boyfriend is murdered by the gangsters whose diamonds he stole, a girl is protected by two FBI agents who plan to keep her from sharing the same fate. This stars Gregory Scott Cummins, Barri Murphy, Rod Shaft, William Smith, Cameron Mitchell, Ross Hagen. Best of all it features an endless amount of stunts: "the most explosive,...

When I was asked to review a film from 1975 called Supercock, I immediately thought that it sounded like a film that may have starred the late adult film performer John Holmes who was known the world over for being extraordinarily, if not freakishly, well-endowed. An Internet Google search turned up Supercock – the film I was reviewing and another one that starred John Holmes, a film I only joked about even existing! The latter didn’t surprise me in the slightest and I breathed a sigh of relief that I wasn’t being asked to review that film.
Supercock is a comedic outing concerning the sport of cockfighting with a humorous script that makes as many sexual inuendoes as you can imagine, to the point of it being a one-note joke that occasionally draws guffaws, smiles, and even a few rolling eyes. It was usually double-billed with the...

Recognised as one of the original scream queens and a career spanning over three decades, Debra Lamb continues to work in film both as an actress and writer. I was lucky enough to talk with Debra about working on her upcoming film projects There’s No Such Thing as Zombies and Expresso to Die For, the title of a scream queen title, her short stories and an idea for the delicious sounding vegan dish ‘Lamb Stew’
How did you first get into acting as a career?
When I was seven I kept bugging my mother that I wanted to take Ballet lessons. I had taken piano and typical lessons you take as a kid. She said if I enrol you in ballet you really have to be committed. So, I started Ballet when I was seven and you know how little kids I are didn’t want to practise, but...

Alienator Blu-ray: "In deep space, the deadliest animal is still woman!
It's a futuristic fight to the finish when the Commander of a space station prison (Jan Michael-Vincent, The Mechanic, White Line Fever) takes on galactic archvillain Kol (Ross Hagen, Avenging Angel). When Kol escapes, on the verge of his execution, the Commander has no choice but to unleash the Alienator – a ruthless android hunter with one unstoppable purpose: terminate Kol at any cost!
Kol's shuttle crash-lands on Earth and the Alienator is hot on his trail. She is determined to capture her prey – even if it means blowing away everything and everyone in her path.

If you have Netflix and are a horror fan in need of something to watch this Labor Day weekend, one look at this gargantuan list I compiled of the new terror titles Netflix has added for instant streaming in just the first three days of this month should keep you busy until Labor Day next year. You'll find something for everyone, from older titles to recent releases, famous to obscure, classic to not-so-classic, monsters to maniacs - you name it.
For the record, I considered compiling this list in alphabetical order or by year of the film's release, but then I realized I had already spent well over an hour just sorting through the massive catalogue of titles Netflix has now made available for instant streaming and realized Labor Day would be over by the time I finished arranging this list in any kind of order. Ready? Here you go.

One of the great features over at the Internet Movie Database is the Bottom 100. Based on ratings viewers of the site give to various films, the worst of the worst films get put on this list. Some of them are on and off in a matter of days. Others stick around for the long haul, showing just how much suckage they truly emit.
It’s time to look at these movies and determine where they stand. Do they deserve to be on the Bottom 100 list? Are they not as bad as everyone says? Will they be off the list any time soon?
Here’s the breakdown for this week’s film:
Title: ‘The Hellcats’
Release Date: 1967
Ranking on Bottom 100 (as of 9/2/2009): #12 (based on 1073 votes)
Why it’s Here: Biker chicks and Davy Jones, that’s about all this movie has going for it. What’s it have working against it?...
