Nathan Fillion Reflects on Castle's Past, Eyes the Future: 'You Tend to Want for a Fairytale, But….'
Nathan Fillion wants to light dynamite from a cigarette.
He also wants to crack a safe.
In fact, the Castle star has at the ready, on his iPhone, a whole list of things he has yet to do as an actor, yet aspires to. Someday.
“Land a plane…. Play my own double…. Hit a detonator button…,” he rattles off from his “to-do” list — in response to a TVLine reader’s question — during my visit to the ABC drama’s set. Continuing on: “Use a dynamite plunger…. Walk away from an explosion, in slow motion…. Defuse a bomb…..” Fillion stops, then...

When Castle decided to "Dtr" (Define The Relationship) on the season finale of "Castle," he wasn't kidding around!
“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about us, our relationship. What we have. Where we’re headed. I’ve decided I want more," Castle told Beckett. "Katherine Houghton Beckett, will you marry me?”
Of course, the season wrapped on Katherine's stunned expression, leaving Entertainment Weekly to write, "The question is: What is Kate going to do? We have all summer to think it over, gang. All. Summer.”
Buddy TV is feeling pretty confident that Beckett will say yes. "The lead up to Castle's surprise proposal made it seem like the characters were on the verge of splitting up for good," they said. "Yet the undercurrent of their issues was the couple's lack of commitment. And what says commitment more than ‘I do’?”

There are some finales that make your heart skip a beat out of shock. The "Castle" Season 5 finale, "Watershed," is one of those episodes. After an hour of a relatively straightforward murder case and a whole lot of soul-searching, Castle and Beckett ended the season on the swings.
And Castle proposed to Beckett. So how did that happen?
The important part, aka Caskett
Remember that job offer Beckett (Stana Katic) got at the end of the penultimate Season 5 episode? She goes to an interview for it. And then she gets it.
This is a problem for her relationship with Castle (Nathan Fillion). But as Castle points out, the real issue is that Beckett doesn't trust or care enough about him to let him in on the planning and deciding. In the ensuing fight, both Castle and Beckett come to question the very foundation of their relationship. Do they have a future?...
