- Long-time popular leading man of Broadway musicals, who made occasional appearances on TV and in films. He was a Tony award nominee for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for "Tenderloin" in 1960.
- He was brought in as a temporary replacement in the role of Spencer Garrison on Love Is a Many Splendored Thing (1967) when Edward Power quit. He filled in until Brett Halsey was hired as a permanent replacement.
