Lead vocalist of the famous hard rock group AC/DC since 1980.
In the early 1970s, he sang in a rock band called Geordie. Bon Scott (original vocalist of AC/DC who had not yet joined the group) supported Geordie and was very impressed by Brian's singing.
On 9 July 2014, he received an honorary degree (Doctor of Music) from Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England for his significant contribution to the music industry.
Is half Italian. His mother was from Frascati, Italy (near Rome).
Has two daughters with his first wife, Carol: Joanne (born 1968) and Kala (born 1973).
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of AC/DC) on 10 March 2003.
