Simon King has shared an update weeks after the announcement of ”sad” Hairy Bikers news.
Fans of Simon “Si” King and Dave Myers were left disappointed when the pair revealed that their most recent series, Hairy Bikers Go Local, was over.
A week after the conclusion, when viewers questioned why the show wasn’t on BBC schedules, they wrote on social media: “Sadly, the series has come to an end.”
They said of the series, which saw them travel across the country to help out local eateries: “We hope you enjoyed the journey we went through with each episode, we look forward to seeing you on your telly sometimes soon.”
While the pair’s next TV outing is yet to be announced, chef King has revealed he will return for a solo venture at Tom Kerridge’s festival Pub in the Park later this year.

They’re a funny old thing, gameshows. Some take the nation by storm, others you wouldn’t watch if you were paid to, with the rest fitting somewhere in between. Those that fall into the first category are ripe for resurrection and slotted back into schedules as if they’d never been away, with varying degrees of success – Channel 4’s recent resurgence of The Crystal Maze has been one of the greatest comebacks in TV history. Yet when it emerged last month that The Weakest Link, complete with Anne Robinson, could be making a return to our screens after a five-year absence, opinion was divided somewhat: do we really want people going round mimicking that God-awful catchphrase all over again? Whilst you’re busy pondering, here are five game shows that, for different reasons should remain exclusive to Challenge TV.

Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge and Cyrus Todiwala & Tony Singh have joined BBC Two's food lineup, landing new shows about pub food and reinventing British home cooking.
Kerridge will front his own Proper Pub Food series, while Todiwala and Singh are reflecting the new multicultural nature of Britain in The Incredible Spice Men.
Kerridge found fame as the first British chef to pick up two Michelin stars by cooking in pub The Hand & Flowers.
His six-episode series will reveal the secrets behind dishes such as mussels cooked in ale, treacle-cured roast beef with ultimate Yorkshire puddings, and date and toffee pudding with caramelised banana.
The Incredible Spice Men will feature Todiwala and Singh "on a mission to convince Britain to wake up to the versatility of spices and exotic ingredients".
BBC commissioner Alison Kirkham said: "Both these programmes will offer fresh ideas and inspire people across Britain to get busy in the kitchen this summer.
