In Ant-man, we discovered that Janet van Dyne, mother to Hope (Evangeline Lilly) and wife to Hank (Michael Douglas), was assumed to have died when she shrunk down to the Quantum Realm in order to disarm a Soviet Icbm in flight, but when Scott Land (Paul Rudd) was able to return from the Quantum Realm, it opened up the possibility that Janet could as well. Yesterday, Marvel was not just basking in the glow of some rave early reviews for Black Panther. They were also laying the groundwork for another of their impending 2018 releases, as a Trailer dropped for Ant-Man and the Wasp. A sequel to their initially troubled production Ant-Man, this should build on the comedic caper and continue to showcase another side to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With only a few months to go before Avengers: Infinity War unveils itself to us, it sure seems like the McU is in strong shape. More on Black Panther early next month, but today, we’re going to talk Ant-Man and the Wasp. You can see the Trailer at the end of this piece, as per the usual… The film is, obviously, a sequel to Ant-Man. Even with a Trailer, not much of the plot is known, so here is the IMDb synopsis to start with:...

In addition to another snap of Michael Douglas looking dapper as Hank Pym, we have our first look at the character Ti will play in Peyton Reed's Ant-Man. All we previously had to go on was that he'd be playing a "superhero's homeboy", suggesting he'd be a friend of Scott Land (Paul Rudd), but do these images tell a different story? Probably not! What's most likely the case here is that Ti's character is posing as a Pym Technology security guard/maintenance worker to help Lang do...something. The Daily Mail report that he climbs "into a police vehicle in one scene as he spoke into a radio receiver." Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats.

We know very little about Marvel's "Ant-Man" film, except that Michael Douglas will play an older version of Hank Pym, who loses/gives the suit to Scott Land, played by Paul Rudd. There were some rumors about several flashback scenes that show Douglas as Ant-Man, but that doesn't seem to be the case any more. "My costume will be hung up, and Paul will be wearing it in good form," Douglas explained. The actor went on to say that Rudd is going to look great as Ant-Man. "Paul Rudd is ripped. He.s been training and working out for this picture for a long time," said Douglas. "He was so cut, that they had to soften his costume up, with all the built-in six-packs and all of that." "Ant-Man" is currently filming and is set to hit theaters on July 17th, 2015.
