- Marit Larsen, was born on July 1st, 1983, in the city of Lørenskog, just outside Oslo, the capitol of Norway. Her mother is a pianist, her father plays the cello in the Oslo Phillharmoic Orchestra. At the age of five, she met her friend, and future co-band member, Marion Ravn.
During the age of 9 to 11, she took part in a lot of musicals, played on "The Norwegian Broadway". In 1996, she and Marion got to release their first album, which was all made of old children songs. The same year Marit started picking up guitar lessons.
Their next album, came out in 2000, and the lead song was chosen for the soundtrack of _Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back (1999)_ . Although they were very young (only teenagers), they wrote almost all the song by themselves.
The group, however, couldn't last long, because their second album, which came out in 2002, didn't sell enough copies, and the record company canceled their deal, leading to the break-up of the band.
After spending three years, writing songs, and looking for a label, Marit finally signed a deal with EMI. In the Fall of 2005 she recorded her album, which was produces by her and Kåre Vestrheim, one of the most famous Norwegian music producers. "Under the Surface" is scheduled to be released in Norway on February 27th, 2006, following the release of the single "Don't Save Me" on January 9th.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
