When the Nordisk film company produced Sherlock-Holmes movies in series in 1908, Viggo Larsen impersonated the leading role. Between 1908 and 1909 he appeared in five movies with the English detective. The actor Alwin Neuss took over the role later.
The Holmes movie "Den Graa dame" 19(09) fascinated the audience in a special way. Based on "Der Hund von Baskerville" (the dog was replaced by a ghost in this filming) the movie transferred the audience to excitement with Holmes' excursions through creepy ways, and the height with the appearance of the ghost beaten everything.
