With technically three films premiering and/or getting a theatrical release in 2016, Terrence Malick‘s output is at an all-time high and it looks like more from the elusive director will be rolled out in the consecutive years to come. His Austin-set drama Weightless is eying a release in the first half of 2017 and now we know the vague timing of when we’ll see his World War II drama Radegund.
Buried in a profile from THR (with a hat tip to Dark Horizons) on producer Philip Lee it’s revealed the film will debut in 2018, which is fairly in line with Malick’s standards — and even a bit early compared to some of his production timetables. His drama depicts the life of Austria’s Franz Jägerstätter (August Diehl), a conscientious objector during World War II who was put to death at the age of 36 for undermining military actions. Film Bazaar: India’s Film Facilitation Office has helped install 50 film-specific nodal officers in government agencies; web portal coming in 2017.
Since India’s first Film Facilitation Office (Ffo) was announced at last year’s Film Bazaar, 50 nodal officers have been appointed by various state and central government departments to act as filming contacts in their geographic regions or areas of expertise.
There are 36 nodal officers at the state level, and then officers nominated a range of ministries and departments including those that govern railways, the environment, archeological sites, and animal welfare.
“An international filmmaker or a domestic filmmaker can have a single contact to help deal with issues that confront filmmakers,” said Vikramjit Roy, head of the Ffo.
Many of the nodal officers are here at Film Bazaar attending today’s Ffo workshop, which will include sessions from international producers who have previously shot in India, such as Hong Kong producer Philip Lee and Swedish producer [link=nm...

Jeff Yang The Domo Taco Truck.
On a startlingly sunny winter day in the Flatiron District, the walking traffic along lower Park Ave. has slowed to a crawl. The culprit: A knot of hungry folks on lunch break who’ve congregated around a bright yellow-green van parked in a choice slot between 23rd and 24th. Some pedestrians grumble as they’re forced to go around — but every so often, one takes a peek at the menu and joins the throng.

At last! Even if Jerry Tyson did not make an appearance in "Kick the Ballistics," the 3Xk case has returned and I could not be more excited. So sit down, grab a cup to toast Ryan and let’s get to it. Time to discuss the most recent installment of Castle.
Now into the fourth season, the 3Xk case still remains my favorite topic on this series - and this episode was a set up for what is sure to be an amazing outing later this year.
The Case. Once again, Castle proved why he is not only an asset to the precinct, but has a necessary one at that. Rick put on his game face, settled in with boxes of records and discovered the link between Tyson and the Lees. Even if Castle usually comes up with crazy theories, it feels so good when he has the right answers first.
