Antony Starr is perhaps the face of morally complex characters in today’s day and age. From The Boys to Banshee, complexity is something he carries in front of the camera like no one else. The darkness within a character takes a great amount of skill to exude and that is something the actor excels at. The patience and dedication it takes is what fans appreciate wholeheartedly.

While Starr isn’t typecasted in the role of a character battling his inner self through the darkness within him, there is no doubt that he plays the part perfectly. He may not be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Universe yet but he has shown through Homelander that a role in the franchises wouldn’t be an opportunity anyone would regret. As such, the possibility may be nigh.

There are few pulpy visualizations of revenge that play as satisfyingly as the climax of Martin Campbell’s The Mask of Zorro. Released 25 years ago, the still surprisingly lithe and surefooted swashbuckler culminates with a multigenerational crescendo of vengeance, which is served bloody and fierce. On one level of a crumbling Californian gold mine, the original Zorro is a now aged and dying Don Diego de la Vega (Anthony Hopkins), and he grapples in his last breath with the man who stole his life and imprisoned him in hell for 20 years. Yet a literal platform below this Count of Monte Cristo passion play is something even bleaker and more vicious: the storm of swords unleashed by a younger Zorro (Antonio Banderas) and his own object of disdain: Capt. Harrison Love (Matt Letscher).

The following contains major spoilers for The Flash series finale.
Now that The Flash, the current elder statesman of superhero television, has officially taken his last run, the obvious question is: What’s next? With much of the larger DC onscreen universe in flux, as James Gunn takes the reins of the franchise with plans to unite the film and television worlds, there’s not much that’s a sure thing at the moment. The CW Arrowverse as we all once knew it is over. And while The Flash movie is finally set to arrive in theaters next month, there’s little guarantee that its—or, really, any—version of Barry Allen will transfer into this brave new world that Gunn is spearheading.
But, at least one member of The CW’s The Flash is confident that we haven’t seen the last of its characters. Actor Tom Cavanagh, who...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Flash Season 8 Episode 19 “Negative, Part 1.” So if you haven’t watched yet, how the hell do you expect to help us save Iris?!] The Flash pulled a fast one on us tonight! In the first hour of their two-part season finale, we saw Still Force host Deon (Christian Magby) drain the power from villainous Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh), who was being held captive in an Argus prison. Like, all the way down to a husk of a human. It looked like we were finally rid of the Reverse-Flash for good. But then, in the hour’s final moments, we got the twist! While battling Deon and his Negative Speed squad, the O.G. good-guy Thawne (Matt Letscher), now loaded with Speed Force abilities from his boss Fast Track, aka Dr. Meena Dhawan (Kausar Mohammed), started to scream in agony. The Flash Season 8 Episode 19
Few things are certain in the world of The Flash and several are downright inexplicable. But one thing is always true: No matter what timeline or time period we’re talking about, The Reverse Flash will do his best to bring down Central City’s hero. Even when Eobard Thawne doesn’t have access to his powers and by all rights should be dead.
The Flash season 8 not only saw Barry Allen save his archenemy’s life in the wake of the Armageddon event but strip him of his speed in the process, leaving him a depowered prisoner in Argus’ high-tech security facility on Lian Yu. And, for most of the season, that seemed to be where the show would leave him, possibly forever. Which is probably why it felt like such a shock to see Deon kill Thawne...

Fortunately — and surprisingly — she has her own lightning rod in Dr. Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), who has no memory of being a villain and whom they assume the time wraiths saved after he sacrificed himself on Legends of Tomorrow (after a conversation with Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer). The Flash Season 8 Episode 18

This DC’s Legends of Tomorrow review contains spoilers.
Legends of Tomorrow Season 7 Episode 10
I feel like I saw set photos of Matt Letscher showing up in “The Fixed Point” before I saw the episode, but because both my brain is mush from the last two years of low-grade background stress And because DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has a long tradition of having the same actors play different characters, it never really registered for me what might be going down. So when Eobard Thawne turned up in the crowd, trying to make sure the Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s assassination went down as planned, it was probably the biggest “holy shit” moment I’ve had with this show.
The Return of Eobard Thawne Explained
Thawne is, of course, a big deal. In fact, the Reverse-Flash is one of biggest deal villains the CW shows have put on screen. If you were making...

The short hiatus did The Rookie good!
The intensity of The Rookie Season 4 Episode 8 was off the charts. Most of that was due to the creative decision to have most of the installment shot as if it was via body cam and other alternative footage.
Between that and the personal arcs that had you wanting to hug Brandford, Harper, and Wopez, it was an entertaining and gratifying hour.
Marvin's case was the perfect one to get most of the characters involved and adequately utilize this method of depicting the storyline through various body cam, cell phones, and surveillance footage. He took them on a journey with his radicalized antics, and the longer it took to nail him down, the more concerning it was that he was out there.
You'd have thought things would be fairly simple, but the moment Angela put her kevlar vest on to knock on the door...

Changes come behind and before the camera, with showrunner Eric Newman handing the reins over to co-creator Adam Bernard (Newman remains executive producer) and without Diego Luna's magnetic screen presence. Netflix is keeping Narcos: Mexico around.
The streamer has confirmed that a third season has been ordered, almost nine months after the sophomore run dropped.
There will be some changes behind-the-scenes ahead of the new season.
Series co-creator Carlo Bernard is taking over as showrunner reins from the longtime Narcos boss Eric Newman.
Newman is currently under an overall deal with the streamer on both the feature side and the television side and he will segue into overseeing a broadening Netflix slate that includes the previously announced opioid TV drama Painkiller, Escape From Spiderhead starring Chris Hemsworth and Miles Teller, and The Upper World starring Daniel Kaluuya.
Newman will continue to executive produce alongside Bernard and Jose Padilha, so he will still have input on the show.
In addition, Wagner Moura, who starred as Pablo Escobar during the first two seasons of Narcos, will return to the series, directing two episodes in the new season.

“The Alienist” is coming back with a sequel series and TNT’s new trailer promises plenty of high-stakes action for fans of the network’s period drama. The series is titled “The Alienist: The Angel of Darkness,” and though it’s being billed as a sequel series rather than a second season, it’s shaping up to be a welcome and instantly-recognizable return to the gritty streets of New York.

The show blends facts and fiction in 1896 New York where investigators look into gruesome crimes while navigating both the city’s dangerous underbelly and its high society locales.
