Brunette silent screen actress, a former vaudeville child performer. She signed up with the Edison Company in 1910 and for at least the next five years appeared in scores of one- and two-reel comedies and melodramas. She went freelance in 1915 and later married British actor Duncan McRae. Gertrude was best known for her playing 'Light' in Maurice Tourneur's 1918 production of "The Blue Bird". Her career did not survive the advent of sound.
