Chris Marcantel is the President and founder of Showrunner Productions.
Chris is an Emmy nominated producer for his work on the web Soap Opera
"Gotham: The Series".
A member of the the Director's Guild of America, Chris has produced and/or
directed commercials for Nokia, Pepsi, Citibank, MCU Bank. As a producer for a
series of E*Trade spots, Chris worked with Emmy nominated director Mathew
Penn and collaborated with actor Bryan Cranston on a web project for
Netstudio.TV
Other directing credits include the Soap Operas "Guiding Light" and "The City"
Chris Marcantel began his career in show business as an actor. Upon graduating
from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he quickly found work in the New
York theater scene and in regional Theater.
Chris originated roles in plays by Craig Lucas and in the Tony award winning
"Torch Song Trilogy" by Harvey Fierstein. This led to numerous television roles
including Guest Starring on "Kate and Allie". His work in Prime time also gave
him the opportunity to co-star with such Hollywood luminaries as Mildred
Dunnock, Warren Oates and E.G. Marshall. He played the son of Colleen
Dewhurst in the CBS movie, "Baby Comes Home" and was a series regular in
"Nurse" where he was Michael Learned's son.
In addition to his work in Prime-time television, Chris has had contract roles on
the soaps, "Another World", "Guiding Light" and "Loving".
