Premiering in August 2022, the HBO Game of Thrones spin-off, House of the Dragon debuted to widespread acclaim and fan reception. House of the Dragon season 2 is less than a month away from hitting Max, and that’s about all we can talk about right now.
The show promised to be back with an epic fight after the jaw-dropping season 1 ending, but all the fuss around the Game of Thrones prequel’s comeback is spurred not only by George R.R. Martin’s book series lovers (who already know how drastically things will turn in the next installment), but especially by the show’s proper actors.
Though House of the Dragon’s cast is surely prohibited to spill the beans on everything that’s about to happen in there, one of the show’s actresses has just dropped a major spoiler, and, unsurprisingly, it has a lot to do with Game of Thrones.

Ready for Game of Thrones lite?
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a new series coming to HBO next year, and author George R.R. Martin, the EP of the series and creator of the novels that spawned this world, promises a shift in tone.
The new spinoff “will be a lot shorter than Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon, with a much different tone,” Martin posted Wednesday on his blog. “But it’s still Westeros, so no one is truly safe.”
The series follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (played by Peter Claffey) and his young squire, Egg (played by Dexter Sol Ansell).
The official logline for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is “set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory” and “great destinies, powerful foes,...

This is not the first time that fans have expected disappointment from George R.R. Martin’s The Winds of Winter as it has been delayed several times in the past. The much-anticipated novel is part of A Song of Ice and Fire, and it will be the sixth addition to the series, it is believed to be over 1200 pages.

However, the book is taking so long that some fans of the author and his books have given up hope, because the novel is taking longer than some of the fans could remember. To give a clear idea, the fifth novel of the series was published, when HBO’s Game of Thrones was aired. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for the faithful day, when they would hear the cheerful news of the author completing the next novel.

Before House of the Dragon season 2 began filming, showrunner Ryan Condal assembled the actors of the Game of Thrones prequel to view a simple slideshow. The subject of this presentation? Dragons, naturally. The dragon riders needed to get acquainted with their bonded beasts, as they’ll never actually meet them in the scaly flesh.
“These poor actors climb up on a saddle but they never interact with the creature they’re supposed to have this close bond with,” Condal says. “If you believe Westerosi historical propaganda, Aegon [II] and Sunfyre famously had the closest bond between dragon and human in history. It’s important for Tom Glynn-Carney as an actor to know what Sunfyre looks like.”

If there's one rule that any fan who's ever been exposed to Game of Thrones knows, it's that weddings in this universe never go right. At this point, any viewer familiar with at least some of the lore knows how many horrible things have happened at weddings, and knows to tense up the second a wedding is even mentioned.
However, House of the Dragon fans who have not yet had enough of the constant cruelty and bloodshed of the universe, as they are only now entering the season of real war, are willing to face the consequences and try another wedding.
The union of Rhaenyra's son, Jacaerys Velaryon, and Daemon's daughter, Baela Targaryen, may be the first somewhat peaceful celebration in a long time.

If Game of Thrones was gory, s*xually explicit, and filled with n*dity and booze then wait for the House of the Dragon Season 2, as Olivia Cooke said, it has crossed the line of its sequel show. House of the Dragon Season 2 has been one of the highly anticipated television shows after the success of season 1, which gave chills to the bones to the devout fans of the saga.

House of the Dragon was without a doubt the finest show to premiere in 2022, and Paddy Considine was its shining star. Even in George R. R. The eight-seasons-long Game of Thrones series is widely regarded as one of the most popular and successful novel-based adaptations of all time, with writer cum producer David Benioff credited as one of the show’s executive producers, showrunners, and writers. But while most of the saga was a masterpiece, they somehow managed to mess up the series finale, which didn’t sit well with fans.

That being said, infuriated fans still blame Benioff and D.B. However, many don’t seem to realize that this story also has an unexplored perspective they never really came to know.

House of the Dragon Producers Reveal Plans for Season 3 - Main Image
The first season of House of the Dragon was released to great success. Thus, it’s a no-brainer that it was renewed for another season, though with a reduced episode count. Now, the show's producers share their plans for House of the Dragon Season 3 in case HBO renews the show.
Compared to the 10-episode first season, House of the Dragon Season 2 will only have eight episodes.
Of course, many expected it to be as long as the first one, but the producers revealed they had no control over the reduced episode count.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the series’ executive producer, Sara Hess, claimed this move wasn’t a creative call. Though she couldn’t say anything about it, she stressed it “wasn’t really our choice.”
But despite this change, plans for the hit HBO series are already sealed.

Actor Ryan Corr reflected on his “magical” experience on the HBO series House of the Dragon in his new uInterview.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon is set almost 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The show stars celebrities like Milly Alcock, Matt Smith and Olivia Cooke.
When asked what stood out to him while on set, Corr explained to uInterview founder Erik Meers, “You’re really just stepping onto a platform with just some of the most incredible people. You don’t really have to suspend your disblief when it’s like that, you’re literally working into operational castles with fire and things like that.”

With House of the Dragon’s season 2 making its way to the screens pretty soon, Game of Thrones’ universe is seemingly far from being discovered in full. The original show’s prequel takes everyone back to the House of Targaryen’s abundant story of betrayal and fight for the ultimate power with the help of their fantastic fire-breathing creatures.
Though House of the Dragon isn’t leaving the top of modern TV shows anytime soon anyway, the prequel seems to have another major upside that puts it at even a higher level than Game of Thrones itself.
The original show based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book series was all great, garnering everyone’s accolades and numerous prestigious awards, but it still failed to show the whole story’s main point.

When HBO’s House of the Dragon premiered, one of the most controversial casting decisions was the choice of Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen. Alongside fans of George R.R. Tyrion Lannister strangled Shae in Geroge R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO’s adaptation of the material, Game of Thrones. She met the same fate, at the hands of the same man, in the same predicament: Tywin Lannister’s bed. both in the show and the novel. However, everything that led to the moment could not be more different, as the Shae that audiences see in the show was on a very different trajectory compared to her counterpart in the novels.
HBO had taken some liberties with George R.R. Martin’s work, mostly because, as the author explained, the studio wished to fit the epic tale into the budget that was allocated to the adaptation. This resulted in certain characters being fused, while others met more gruesome fates than their novel counterparts. However, the changes made to Shae’s story only made the character meet a more tragic end,...

Even months before its release, Hiroyuki Sanada’s latest series was already garnering massive anticipation from fans. And, needless to say, as soon as it hit the screens, Shōgun didn’t hesitate to immaculately deliver to all of those expectations and do justice to the source material, becoming one of the biggest talks of the entire world and an internet sensation overnight.

However, that just might be about to change following recent reports about the series getting a second and third season greenlit by FX and being led by Sanada. Unarguably enough, that sounds just like what happened with Game of Thrones — i.e. the very saga Sanada’s series was being widely compared with — and things don’t seem to be looking all too good because of that.

One of the major turning points in Targaryen’s history was Aegon’s Conquest. Aegon I rose to power and decided to consolidate the seven kingdoms. Thus, he became the first king of the seven kingdoms and forged an Iron Throne. We already have a Game of Thrones spinoff around this in the works, and the writing seems to be going well.

Romania-based filmmaker and writer Mattson Tomlin is currently working on scripting Aegon’s Conquest. The show will dive into the historical events that made House Targaryen one of the most fierce and courageous families in the world. Though there is no dedicated book written on this significant event, Tomlin claimed that he is crafting the show based on the pages of Fire & Blood dedicated to this narrative. One of the most comforting things fans find about House of the Dragon is the fact that the show is based on a complete story by George R. R. Martin and shouldn't deviate too much from the original plot. It was the writers' bad decisions that made the ending of Game of Thrones so traumatic for so many people, and now they should've been much calmer.
However, as it was already obvious in season 1, the story behind House Targaryen has also been changed to fit another narrative pushed by the show. Alicent and Rhaenyra were made much closer in age, and Alicent ended up being the one who de facto led Team Green into the war by putting her son on the Iron Throne.
From the looks of it, the changes aren't over yet.

Outer Range Season 2 Episode 1 begins with the gravelly, subtly menacing voice of Josh Brolin, channeling his Thanos the Mad Titan persona.

Author George R.R. Martin created the global phenomenon Game of Thrones when he wrote the fantasy novel series A Song of Ice and Fire. Set in a medieval fantasy realm where Seven Kingdoms fight to be the ruler of the lands, the novel series spawned the popular HBO show which won multiple Emmys and was one of the most-watched series.
After the show ended with season 8, which was largely considered to be disappointing, HBO commissioned multiple prequels, of which only House of the Dragon has seen the light of day. However, among the multiple prequels in development is Aegon’s Conquest, which sees the origins of the Seven Kingdoms. Writer Mattson Tomlin mentioned that Martin instructed him to avoid one mistake from Game of Thrones creators.

The Game of Thrones is one of the most incredible TV shows ever to have been made. Adapted by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, the series was initially well-received, but the last season was one of the most critically lambasted.

From deviating from the source material to a lack of proper character development, fans have found several issues with the ending of Game of Thrones. This has prompted several fans to create alternate endings for the show, and one of them sees Jamie Lannister as the Queen Slayer, which would have actually been a lot better than the HBO series’ actual ending.

House of the Dragon season 1 introduced us to House Velaryon, an old Valyrian House whose members are master seafarers. The seat of House Velaryon is on Driftmark, with the head of the House holding the title “Lord of the Tides.”
In season 1, the Sea Snake, Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint), held this title. Though the title was to pass to his son Ser Laenor, we witnessed the Velaryon lord fleeing the land of Westeros. This left Corlys without an heir.
However, we will see events from George R.R. Martin’s book Fire and Blood come to life in House of the Dragon Season 2. The show will introduce two new characters from the town of Hull on Driftmark.
The first, Addam of Hull, will fight for the Blacks as a dragonrider. His brother Alyn Velaryon, also called Alyn Oakenfist and Alyn of Hull, however, has a different destiny. The latest House of...

To say that George Rr Martin’s works are violent would be a grave understatement. But despite the grotesque nature of the books, which don’t shy away from showcasing the horrors of war and its impact on common people, at the core, it reflect the writer’s hatred for wars.
But while the novelist is not completely against war, he did stress that most wars throughout history were not worth fighting, including the Vietnam War. As a result, instead of being drafted into the war, the author chose to object USA’s involvement in the conflict.

But while the novelist is not completely against war, he did stress that most wars throughout history were not worth fighting, including the Vietnam War. As a result, instead of being drafted into the war, the author chose to object USA’s involvement in the conflict.

Both George R.R. Martin and J.R.R. Tolkien have been some of the biggest names in the fantasy genre, each renowned for their extensive literary creations that have sparked beloved TV adaptations and blockbuster movies. Martin has openly expressed his admiration for Tolkien’s work on Middle Earth, a realm teeming with fantastical races, intricate languages, and epic battles.

However, Martin hasn’t shied away from offering critiques of aspects of Middle-Earth that he believes could have been further developed. Although his comments may contest some devoted fans, they highlight a nuanced approach to the realm of fantasy literature.

HBO has released the first full-length trailer for House of the Dragon season 2 (via SFFGazette.com), and brace yourselves because it's epic. In the newly released footage, we see more of the scheming which continues in Westeros as war beckons between Queen Alicent Hightower and Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen.
The Targaryen civil war known as the "Dance of the Dragons" is nearly upon us and this sneak peek does a phenomenal job of setting the stage for the conflict to come.
All the major players are highlighted, with the sneak peek ending on a suitably epic note as Rhaenyra stands tall with Syrax looming large behind her. Who will prevail? Book readers (and most Game of Thrones fans) will know, but we won't spoil anything here,
"The first season was so much about the royal family, that 1 percent of the upper 1 percent that rules this world. All the people in the...

Although a pretty congenial man, George R.R. Martin is notable for penning some of the most gruesome battles in fantasy, which doesn’t shy away from delving into the grotesque nature of wars. Opposed to other fantasy works, the bloodshed in Martin’s Game of Thrones is exponentially high, which makes sense, as he initially set out to pen the novel series in response to High Fantasy.
Explaining his reasoning behind incorporating such bloody battles, the author explained he wanted to depict both sides of a war, and its ugly nature, which many fantasy works stray away from.

The Six Feet Under series finale is widely considered to be one of the greatest finales of all time. Just ask Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, who once wrote, “That [final] episode was far and away the best finale in the entire history of television, and I cannot imagine how anyone could possibly do better.” Series creator Alan Ball even said he still cries watching it.
It’s hard to argue with the brilliance of an episode that, like life itself, begins with a birth, ends with death, and fills its allotted time with love, pain, family, friendship, resignation, reunions, and tiny miracles like watching a newborn baby breathe.
Baby Willa arrives.
Brenda (Rachel Griffiths) gives birth to a daughter, Willa, at the start of the episode, with her mother-in-law, Ruth (Frances Conroy), by her side. But Willa’s not breathing on her own, and at a mere...
