Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) is the latest politician to dance his way into a pop culture craze.
Lewis, a civil rights-era veteran, is shown dancing Gangnam style in a new video to promote youth voting in the 2012 election. Lewis joined dancers from the hip-hop dance group Innonim in the video posted on YouTube and produced by Kollaboration Atlanta, an arts and civics participation group. National Journal first reported the video Friday, two days after it was posted.
The Lewis video comes a week after Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna (R), who is running for governor, and his wife, Marilyn, were seen in a video dancing Gangnam style at the Washington State Korean Association Korean Day festivities earlier this month. Unlike the McKennas, who jumped on stage for the full dance, Lewis only dances for a short portion in his video.
The McKennas were not the only ones dancing last week.

Control of the New York State Senate could come down to who has the best dance video.
Justin Wagner, a Democrat challenging state Sen. Greg Ball (R-Patterson) in a Hudson Valley district, released a new dance video on Thursday, weeks after Ball's campaign released their own videos. While Ball's video shows his campaign staff in a seemingly impromptu music-less dance, Wagner's work appears a bit more coordinated. The Ball-Wagner race is one of the most competitive in the battle for control of the Senate. New York political blog Capitol Tonight first reported on the Wagner dance video.
In Wagner's video, the candidate can be seen entering his campaign office and watching supporters dancing to Bill Clinton's campaign theme song, "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow." The video shows Wagner staff and supporters dancing at the office, in a minivan and in restaurants. Wagner's wife and baby daughter are also shown dancing in a pumpkin patch.

First, Utah Republicans sang "Call Me Maybe." Now the Republican nominee for Washington governor, Rob McKenna, is getting in on a pop culture craze.
McKenna, the state attorney general, and his wife, Marilyn, danced Gangnam style at the Washington State Korean Association Korean Day event on Saturday. Marilyn McKenna promoted video of the pair on stage with a group of dancers on her Twitter account Tuesday afternoon and attracted the attention of Seattle Times political reporter Jim Brunner.
The McKennas joined the Korean dance craze that has swept the world in recent weeks. The video shows the state's top lawman and his wife gyrating, twisting and waving their arms wildly on stage for 2 1/2 minutes to cheers from the crowd. Several people can be seen rushing the stage to shoot video of the potential first couple dancing.
Not everyone's a fan, though. Marilyn McKenna tweeted that the couple's 12-year-old son offered...

Lifetime Television claims to "celebrate, entertain and support women" even as it airs a new series that glamorizes prostitution. Then, of course, there is Village Voice Media, generating tens of millions in annual profits from Backpage.com, its online red-light district where human beings -- including a disturbing number of minors -- can be bought and sold for sex. Such commercial efforts to mainstream prostitution are a disturbing trend in a movement with devastating consequences, particularly for young women and girls.
Meanwhile, a federal grand jury just indicted a Brooklyn pimp for a string of horrifying crimes. Jeremy Naughton is charged with kidnapping young women, some of whom he found in online postings. Prosecutors say Naughton held women against their will, using violence to force them to sell themselves. At one point he's said to have intimidated a prostitute by snapping her dog's neck.
The allegations against Naughton sound familiar...

If watching John Cusack navigate through the apocalypse in 2012 is too much for you, perhaps you'll enjoy the latest Moviefone Mash. This video looks back on some classic Cusack scenes, specifically those in which the actor gets rained on. Certainly not the end of the world, but linked together the clips show us that he's pretty much synonymous with gloomy weather. Whether he's just been dumped or he's just popped out of John Malkovich's head, there's always a storm cloud with Cusack's name on it.
Moviefone deduces that because of all this caught-in-the-rain stuff, Cusack's characters are collectively akin to Bad Luck Schleprock from the Flintstones cartoons, and other examples of that comic trope. Or, maybe Cusack is like the character Rob McKenna from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy novel So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish, who can't get away from rain because he is, unknowingly,...
