The Ee BAFTA Film Awards took place on March 13 just a few months ahead of the television awards ceremony, which will be held later this year. On Feb. 3, the nominees for each film category were announced, including the highly anticipated rising star award, which previously saw "Top Boy" star Michael Ward take the win back in 2020 and "Rocks" star Bukky Bakray win in 2021. Now in its 17th year, the rising star award is the only one voted for by the British public and was won by Lashana Lynch.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has announced its official 2022 nominees, marking the event’s 75th anniversary. This year’s nominations were broadcast live from BAFTA 195 Piccadilly in central London on Thursday, February 3. Film Awards red carpet hosts Aj Odudu and Tom Allen listed all the noms.
This year, the most nominated films are “Dune” with 11 nods; “The Power of the Dog” with eight; “Belfast” with six; and “Licorice Pizza,” “West Side Story,” and “No Time to Die” all with five nominations each.

As Europe faces a fresh wave of Covid-19, the 34th European Film Awards will take place as a distanced live event, with attendance limited to nominees and award recipients.
The in-person ceremony, which will also be broadcast and streamed from Berlin on Dec. 11, will not include the usual audience of academy members, partners and guests from the film industry and the international media.
“The decision acknowledges the deteriorating situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic in an increasing number of European countries, and in Germany,” the European Film Academy said in a statement. “The pandemic will affect all events usually taking place during the awards weekend.”

Philip Barantini’s restaurant drama Boiling Point and Joanna Hogg’s sequel The Souvenir Part II head the craft winners for the 2021 British Independent Film Awards (Bifas), with three awards each.
Single-shot feature Boiling Point, which scored the joint-most nominations this year with 11, won in best cinematography for Matthew Lewis; best casting for Carolyn McLeod; and best sound for James Drake, Rob Entwistle and Kiff McManus.
The Souvenir Part II won in best costume for Screen Star of Tomorrow Grace Snell; best editing for Helle Le Fevre; and best production design for Stephane Collonge.

The British Independent Film Awards have unveiled the first batch of winners of the 2021 honors.
Among the nine craft awards, revealed just over two weeks before the BIFA ceremony, Philip Barantini’s single-take kitchen drama Boiling Point and Joanna Hogg’s Cannes-bowing sequel The Souvenir Part II came away with three awards each.

Shoot Me: A low budget feature to be shot in and around London from April 2012.
Sam and Jaz join forces to enter a young film makers competition, but they have opposing views on how to get the best results. The movie will be shot on different types of cameras - from mobile phones to webcams etc and anyone who is cast in the film will also take an active part in making the movie.
We are looking for the following Lead Roles:
Jaz (Male): Playing age 17-18, he could be of African, Asian or Middle Eastern descent, quietly spoken, sensitive and always keen to film the truth.
Sam (Male): Playing age 17-18, tall and kind of awkward, but with the potential to be handsome, has a weakness for American movies and their focus on sex, drugs and crime. He often plays the fool but can be really sensitive.
