Jowita Budnik is a Polish actress who studied at the University of Warsaw. She made her screen debut at the age of 12 in
Kochankowie mojej mamy (1986). She gained popularity from her role in
W labiryncie (1988). Her career took a turn when she met
Krzysztof Krauze, who cast her in one of the main roles in his TV movie
Wielkie rzeczy: Siec (2000). In 2005, Krauze and
Joanna Kos-Krauze wrote the script for the movie
Plac Zbawiciela (2006) with Budnik in mind. In 2017, she appeared in
Birds Are Singing in Kigali (2017), the last joint movie of Joanna and Krzysztof Krauze.
