Animator who began as an 'inbetweener' and drawing 'Buddy' cartoons for Warner Brothers by the age of 17. He signed with Leon Schlesinger's cartoon studio in 1934 and, at one time or another, worked for Friz Freleng, Frank Tashlin, Chuck Jones and Bob Clampett. He left in 1950 to join UPA the following year, working under the supervision of John Hubley and Pete Burness. He subsequently went freelance to work in the commercial sector. In the 1980's, he made Charley Tuna, Gillette and Tony the Tiger television commercials.
