Moore used her initials professionally because at the time of her entry
as a science fiction author (1933), the field had little room for women
authors. The "Lawrence O'Donnell" pseudonym was the one Moore used most
often when writing alone and not using her "real" name. Lewis Padgett
and C.H. Liddell were used in collaboration with her husband,
Henry Kuttner.
A handful of collaborations were published under the O'Donnell name and
about a same number as "Henry Kuttner & C.L. Moore".
