Nandi Bushell recently performed a 10-minute drum medley in front of 20,000 people at the O2 Arena in London, and the YouTube sensation has now shared a clip of the full performance.
Bushell toured as part of the Young Voices youth choir outing that just wrapped up after playing to 600,000 fans across sold-out arenas across the UK.
Backed by a massive choir and a tight house band, Nandi kicked off the medley with The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” rousing the massive audience.
From there, Nandi seamlessly connected rock hits from various eras, shifting to The Killers’ “Somebody Told Me” before launching into Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” and — of course — “Everlong” by her drum-off opponent Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters.
The medley also included snippets of songs by the Arctic Monkeys, Queen, Coldplay, and Led Zeppelin, showcasing a variety of moods and playing styles from Nandi,...

Mark Knopfler has teamed up with a host of fellow guitar legends to record a version of his song “Going Home (Theme from Local Hero)” to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust and Teen Cancer America.
The Dire Straits frontman tapped Eric Clapton, Slash (Guns N’ Roses), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Brian May (Queen), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Pete Townshend (The Who), Alex Lifeson (Rush), Bruce Springsteen, Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones), Joan Jett, and many more, forming what he has dubbed “Mark Knopfler’s Guitar Heroes.” Notably, the star-studded version opens with the final recorded guitar track by the late Jeff Beck.
Knopfler’s longtime collaborator Guy Fletcher handled the production of the track, which might be the greatest assemblage of guitar talent to co-exist on a single song. The Sgt. Pepper‘s-style artwork was created by Sir Peter Blake.

Dave Grohl paid tribute to his one-time Nirvana bandmate Paul McCartney (technically, it’s true!) with a rendition of “Live and Let Die” at the Love Rocks NYC benefit concert Thursday night, March 7.
The Foo Fighters frontman gave a characteristically full-throated performance of McCartney’s hit 1973 James Bond theme song. Though he strained a bit to hit some of the high notes during the ballad-y sections and left the “You know you did” refrain to the backing vocalists, he attacked the hard rock portions the way only Dave Grohl can.

Tim Commerford, the bassist of the rock band Rage Against the Machine, has said that has no idea if the band has split. Earlier this year, the drummer of the band Brad Wilk claimed that the ‘Killing in the Name’ hitmakers, also comprising Zack de la Rocha and Tom Morello, “will not be touring or playing live again,” as a band, reports ‘Female First UK’.
He announced on Instagram: “I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the cancelled Ratm shows. So, while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that Ratm will not be touring or playing live again.”
“I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was. Bottom of my heart… Thank you to every person who has ever supported us.

Sheryl Crow has tried everything: She’s read Eckhart Tolle and Deepak Chopra, consulted with Jesus and Buddha, and even taken mushrooms. Yet, as she sings on her new single, “Do It Again,” she keeps making the same mistakes. "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is a beloved show with millions of adoring fans, but you don't get to be one of the most boundary-pushing comedies on air without ruffling a few feathers. Although the gang is larger than life, many of the characters draw inspiration from real people, particularly in their names. A few of the main and recurring characters in the show are named after real-life people like celebrities, close friends of the series creators, or the actors that portray them. Unfortunately, not everyone was flattered by their namesake.
The proprietors of Paddy's Pub are pretty darn despicable, but some of the show's minor characters are even less likable. The McPoyles are among some of the most repulsive characters in the show, and their sweaty, unibrowed, incestuous family often finds itself at odds with the gang. Wayne Kramer, the cofounder and guitarist-vocalist of the iconic Detroit punk band MC5, has died at age 75. The news was shared on Kramer and MC5’s official social media pages today, but a cause of death was not disclosed.
Born Wayne Kambes on April 30, 1948, the guitarist formed the MC5 (for Motor City 5) as a teenager with his friend, Fred “Sonic” Smith. They played locally, eventually becoming the house band at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit.
John Sinclair, a left-wing activist, became the band’s manager, and they soon were a staple of the late-’60s political movements, aligning with the White Panther Party, the anti-racist group that Sinclair cofounded.
The group’s sound was hard to define, but it was defiant, and was widely credited with sparking what was to come in punk. The group performed at the protests outside the 1968 Democratic National Convention and at other rallies before signing...

MC5’s history dates back to 1963, when Kramer started a band with fellow guitarist Fred “Sonic” Smith. After a couple years, the classic lineup of Kramer, Smith, singer Rob Tyner, bassist Michael Davis, and drummer Dennis Thompson was in place.

Plot: A three-part documentary series chronicling the iconic forefathers of hip-hop, Run Dmc. This unique series will take you back to the 1980s, when Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons, Darryl “Dmc” McDaniels, and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell cultivated a one-of-a-kind sound that took not only Queens, but the world, by storm.
Review: In college, a professor made us watch Ken Burns’ series Jazz. At first, I rolled my eyes at the prospect of watching an eighteen-hour documentary about one genre of music. I was shocked when I became engrossed by the series and began appreciating jazz as never before. Few documentaries can harness an entire genre in such a way, but the new three-part series Kings From Queens: The Run Dmc Story manages to encapsulate the origin of rap by focusing on one of the most legendary duos to ever perform. From humble beginnings in Hollis, Queens, to the world stage of Live Aid, it has been more than 40 years since Run-dmc first changed hip-hop forever. Now Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons, Darryl “Dmc” McDaniels, and Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell are having their story told through a new three-part documentary series Kings From Queens: The Run Dmc Story. It premieres February 1 on Peacock. Titans of music across genres including Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Questlove, Beastie Boys, Ice-t, Chuck D, Tom Morello, Salt, Doug E. Fresh, Big Daddy Kane, Mc Lyte, and Ed Love speak about how the group inspired generations. And how they impacted the cultural landscape of the business with their unique and catchy sound. Some of the biggest triumphs such as taking hip-hop mainstream thanks to “Walk This Way” with Aerosmith are chronicled. With those proud touchtones also comes immense tragedy. Among them at the top was Jay...

The main characters of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" are so outrageous they seem like they couldn't possibly be based in real life, and Frank is perhaps the strangest of them all. Portrayed by the incomparable Danny DeVito, Dennis and Dee's millionaire father chooses to move into their friend Charlie's tiny apartment and leave his upper-class lifestyle behind.
"He's got the Midas touch, but he misses living in squalor," DeVito explained in an interview with The New York Times. "The one line that got me hooked to do the show was that I had a scene with Charlie Day, and I say [...] 'Let me come and live with you, man. I miss living in this Bohemian style.'"
Frank develops several new bohemian quirks, like a "toe knife" he uses to dig the scum out of his toenails, a habit of eating cat food before bed, and a penchant for...

Tom Morello, Amanda Palmer, Speedy Ortiz, Kimya Dawson, and more have signed an open letter calling for the restoration of net neutrality, stressing the benefits of an open internet for artists.

After already breaking up one time before, the iconic band Rage Against the Machine has called it quits for the second time.
The band’s drummer, Brad Wilk, confirmed via Instagram that the group will not be getting back together to perform live any time soon.
In a post from January 3, Wilk posted, “While there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know the Ratm will not be touring or playing live again.”
He then goes on to thank fans who have supported the band from the “bottom of my heart.”
Originally, the band’s tour was set to take place in 2020, but Covid-19 caused the group to postpone their concert dates.

Fans of Rage Against the Machine have been patiently waiting for the band to reschedule dates for their Public Service Announcement Tour. Unfortunately, not only will the band not resume going the tour, but the members have decided to call it quits entirely. This is not the first time that Rage Against the Machine has broken up. The members split in 2000 and in 2011. They had recently reunited in 2022 and announced that they would be going on an extensive tour in North America and Europe. Ratm would only play 19 shows due to an injury suffered by frontman Zack de la Rocha. He had erupted his Achilles tendon while on the second stop of the tour at Chicago’s United Center. de la Rocha would tough it out for the first leg of the tour by sitting on a road case every night. However, they decided to call the rest of the...

Rage Against the Machine 3.0 officially came to an end early Wednesday evening, when drummer Brad Wilk informed fans via Instagram that the group wasn’t going to resume its Public Service Announcement reunion tour. “Ratm (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again,” he posted on Instagram. “I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…”
On one hand, the news was hardly surprising. Rage are an incredibly volatile band with a long history of dysfunction.

Dave Grohl appeared on latest episode of the Song Exploder podcast, where he discussed “The Teacher” from Foo Fighters’ latest album, But Here We Are. As Grohl explained in heart-wrenching detail, the 10-minute rock epic was written in tribute to his mother, Virginia Grohl, who passed away in July 2022.
“I was with her for all of the time leading up to her passing,” Grohl told Song Exploder host Hrishikesh Hirway. “Everyday during that period, I would write something on the guitar, because I felt that if I didn’t have that release, I would explode. I would spend the day at the hospital and then try to translate it musically — with no clear intention of what I was trying to achieve. I was finding these chords and progressions that mirrored the way that I felt.”

In the new clip featuring Nandi, she is shown a picture of Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider in his full ’80s makeup, and asked, “Do you recognize this guy?” With a puzzled look, Nandi answers, “No.”

When rock and pop A-listers have needed a world-class country singer to sing on their song over the past few years, they usually call Chris Stapleton. Since his last album, 2020’s Starting Over, the 45 year-old traditionalist has duetted with Taylor Swift and Adele, written songs with Santana, and collaborated with Tom Morello and Pink. But that doesn’t mean he’s no longer a country centrist, having worked with everyone from Carly Pearce to Morgan Wallen to Willie Nelson.

The Los Angeles Armenian American community is ramping up its public concerns over an international regional conflict between ethnic Armenians and Azerbaijan.
Last week, a protest blocked the southbound 101 in downtown Los Angeles after Azerbaijan resumed military attacks on an enclave where roughly 120,000 ethnic Armenians live. Thousands have fled their homes, according to Human Rights Watch, which added that most cannot flee because Azerbaijan had sealed the border.
The enclave in dispute is known as Nagorno Karabakh. Azerbaijan has laid claim to the land, which is at the heart of the dispute.
The recent escalation has raised concerns from several prominent Armenian voices from the entertainment community.

Thirty-eight years ago today, Mr. Snider went to Washington. A new graphic novel, Dee Snider: He’s Not Gonna Take It (due out Nov. 21), illustrates the fateful day the Twisted Sister frontman spoke in defense of free speech, alongside Frank Zappa and John Denver, at a Senate hearing regarding placing content-warning labels on album covers. Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello penned a foreword for the book paying tribute to Snider’s heroic spirit.

Tom Morello showed his solidarity with the only unionized strip club in the US by performing at the reopening of the Star Garden Topless Dive Bar in North Hollywood, Los Angeles on Thursday after a year-plus strike.
“This is what solidarity looks like!!” Morello shared via Instagram. “While the owners are still doing very shady things it was a night of radical unity and radical rump shaking!”
In clips shared from the impromptu appearance, the Rage Against the Machine guitarist can be heard playing his solo track “Hold the Line” from 2021’s The Atlas Underground Fire as well as leading a call-and-response that went “When I say ‘union,’ you say ‘power!'” Watch below.
Picketing began in mid-2022 after several employees petitioned the bar’s owners over the wrongful termination of two dancers while also raising safety concerns against “a room which is regularly full of belligerently drunk men who push our boundaries.
