One time played semi-pro basketball in a league that included the
original Harlem Globetrotters.
Longstanding character actor whose steely looks and polished air had
him playing high-ranking officers, police chiefs and, in particular,
judges (frequently on Perry Mason (1957)) during the 1950s and
1960s.
Died at age 94 at the Motion Picture and TV Country House and Hospital
in Woodland Hills, CA.
Served in WWII and performed in the Pacific Theater during his tour of
duty.
