On Tony Bennett’s 95th birthday, August 3rd, the singer and Lady Gaga released a rendition of the Cole Porter classic, “I Get a Kick Out of You,” from their upcoming collaborative album, Love for Sale, October 1st via Columbia and Interscope.
Gaga and Bennett’s version of “I Get a Kick Out of You” is delightfully classic, starting with a tender piano intro before launching into a swinging, brassy groove. The two vocalists exude plenty of chemistry as they trade lines and harmonize on the chorus.

Tony Bennett’s family revealed the legendary singer has been battling Alzheimer’s disease for nearly five years in a lengthy feature in AARP the Magazine.
Bennett was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2016. In the years since, the disease has progressed to the extent that Bennett’s presence has reportedly grown more muted and he grapples with short-term memory loss; but he has not yet been stricken by some of Alzheimer’s most debilitating symptoms, like severe disorientation, long-term memory loss, and bouts of depression and anger.

Five years after its final episode aired, the soundtrack to Lilyhammer has been released. Scored by Steven Van Zandt — who starred as mobster Frank “The Fixer” Tagliano who flees to Norway under the Witness Protection Program — the expansive soundtrack has been released in two volumes. On September 25th, music legend Barbara Cook released an all new recording, Loverman, her latest from Drg Records. Loverman is a brilliant departure from Ms. Cooks traditional Broadway repertoire, featuring a large collection of jazz and standards.
