- Félix Máriássy was born on June 3, 1919 in Márkusfalva, Hungary [now Markusovce, Slovakia]. He was a director and assistant director, known for Egy pikoló világos (1955), Álmatlan évek (1959) and Imposztorok (1969). He was married to Judit Máriássy. He died on January 26, 1975 in Szöny, Hungary [now part of Komárom, Hungary].

- Hungarian film director, an exponent of social realism. Of aristocratic background, he was slated for a career as a designer, but turned towards the film industry at the age of twenty. He started as editor and assistant director before his first solo directing credit in 1949.
