“My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” has officially hit theaters worldwide.
In an interview with TheWrap conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike, star Andrea Martin teased that the latest installment will leave audiences with “a feeling of connection.”
“I think it will resonate with people in a very deep way having come out of the pandemic, because it’s all about family and connection and not isolation,” she said. “Everywhere the family goes, they go together. So I have a feeling that it will be like a warm hug watching this movie. I certainly felt like that when I was shooting it, but where we are as a world right now, I think we all want to be embraced by something familiar, by people that are familiar, that have been a part of our lives for 20 years.”

Every movie star needs to play a gruff, fish-out-of-water coach in a heartwarming sports film at least once, and Woody Harrelson is getting that opportunity with “Champions,” a new comedy film from Bobby Farrelly. Focus Features debuted the official trailer for the upcoming film December 5.
In the film, “Cheers” and “True Detective” star Harrelson plays Marcus Aldridge, a temperamental minor-league basketball coach who gets fired from his position after a series of losses and winds up facing legal trouble after crashing into a police car. Ordered by the court to fulfill a community service requirement, he coaches a basketball team consisting of players with intellectual disabilities.
Initially apathetic about the assignment and unconvinced the group has any potential as a team, Marcus ends up motivated to whip the players into shape when he realizes that competing with them in the Special Olympics could be a step towards reclaiming his old job.

Get aca-excited, because the new "Pitch Perfect" spin-off series, "Bumper in Berlin," is coming our way. Rather than focus on the Barden Bellas or any of the other a capella groups we've come to know over the course of the "Pitch Perfect" trilogy, "Bumper in Berlin" is centered around the European adventures of Adam Devine's character, Bumper Allen. The show sees Bumper trying to restart his singing career after "Pitch Perfect 2" star Pieter Krämer (Flula Borg) informs him that a TikTok mashup he's made is going viral in Germany. Hoping to capitalize on his unexpected 15 minutes of fame, Bumper moves to Berlin to try and grow his budding fanbase.
Now in a foreign land, Bumper meets our new cast of characters, like Pieter's assistant Heidi (Sarah Hyland), Pieter's DJ sister Thea Krämer (Lera Abova), and his new rival, singer Gisela (Jameela Jamil), who also happens to be Pieter's ex-girlfriend.

Gold Circle Films, the production company behind “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and the “Pitch Perfect” trilogy, was hit with a $14.1 million judgment in a New York court on Thursday.
The ruling stems from a long-running dispute between Gold Circle and Sandton Capital, a New York hedge fund that acquired some of its debt. Gold Circle borrowed $9.5 million from Cit Lending Services Corp. and U.S. Bank in 2006, and another $45 million from the same lenders in 2008.
Gold Circle found itself unable to fully repay the debt in 2011, and the loan went into default. Rather than pursue their guarantees in court, the lenders sold the debt to Sandton. Gold Circle and Sandton have been waging a legal battle over the outstanding balance since 2015.
On Thursday, New York Supreme Court Judge Barry Ostrager ruled in favor of Sandton, finding that Gold Circle owes $14.1 million. The ruling followed a two-day trial earlier in the week.

A sequel to 2002 romantic comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding is moving forward.
Nia Vardalos wrote the film and starred as Fotoula 'Toula' Portokalos, a lower middle-class Greek American woman who fell in love with the non-Greek upper middle-class Ian Miller, played by John Corbett.
Earlier this year, Vardalos revealed that she was working on the screenplay, which has taken four years to write.
Entertainment Weekly has now confirmed that Universal Pictures will distribute the sequel, which will see Vardalos and Corbett reprise their respective roles.
The film is said to focus on the revelation of a family secret and a "bigger, fatter wedding" which gathers the Portokalos family together again.
Produced by Gold Circle Films, HBO and Playtone, the film will be produced by Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson and Gary Goetzman, and executive produced by Vardalos alongside Paul Brooks, Scott Niemeyer and Steven Shareshian.

It’s difficult to be scared of what you don’t believe in. Michael King, a documentary filmmaker whose wife has just died, has no belief in an afterlife and thus feels no fear when it comes to exploring the supernatural. He’s all too willing to tempt dark paranormal forces during the making of his latest film, and he’ll learn the hard way that supernatural forces not only exist, but are capable of great evil.
Anchor Bay Films’ upcoming horror movie The Possession of Michael King will be adding some paranormal scares to the summer.
The Possession of Michael King is slated for an August 22nd theater release and a home media release on August 26th:
