- Josefina Niggli was born on July 13, 1910 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a writer, known for Sombrero (1953), Shoestring Theatre (1959) and Ethel Barrymore Theater (1956). She died in 1983.
- From 1928, wrote plays, novels, short stories and poems, often with Mexican themes. In the 1930's, worked with Mexican dramatist Rodolfo Usigli as stage manager.Member of the Dramatists Guild and the Photographic Society of America.
