- Talgat Nigmatulin was born on March 5, 1949 in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR, USSR [now Uzbekistan]. He was an actor and writer, known for Pirates of the 20th Century (1980), Odin i bez oruzhiya (1984) and Vstrechi i rasstavaniya (1973). He was married to Larissa Kandalova, Halima Hasanova and Venera Nigmatulina. He died on February 11, 1985 in Vilnius, Lithuanian SSR, USSR [now Lithuania].

- Murdered by the leaders of the quasi-religious sect he was a member of, Abai Borubayev and Mirza Kymbatbayev. Borubayev and Kymbatbayev were sentenced to 14 and 10 years of prison for murder, respectively.
- In order to improve his knowledge of Russian language he copied "War and Peace" of Leo Tolstoy literally by twice re-writing the entire novel by hand.
- He was interested in different aspects of cinematography, particularly in writing scenarios for short movies and animation, as well as writing poems and inspiring stories.
