The characters and themes that fill Bob Dylan's songs will be the basis for a new hour-long drama series on Amazon, Variety reports.

According to Sky Sports, Crystal Palace Palace co-chairman Steve Parish and his fellow investors Steve Browett, Jeremy Hosking and Martin Long have secured a £100 million investment in the club after agreeing terms with Us investors Josh Harris and David Blitzer.
The report states that the deal will see Parish, Blitzer and Harris all retain an equal 18% share of the club with the remainder going to Browett, Hosking and Long (who will reduce their respective stakes in the club) and various other Us interests. This investment had long been deliberated over and it looked like the deal was going through late last year before talks cooled.
Parish had long discussed the need for investment to accelerate the growth of the club and this huge investment will primarily be used for the long-overdue development of Selhurst Park and the report claims that the Americans will put £50 million in for player recruitment.

West Brom have contacted former Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis about their vacant manager’s position after sacking Alan Irvine last night.
Pulis, 56, has been out of work since quitting Crystal Palace just days before the start of this season following a row with Eagles Chairman Steve Parish.
The Welshman’s stock is high after working miracles at Selhurst Park last season. Palace were in a much more perilous position than the Baggies are at the moment having amassed seven points from their first 12 Premier League games. Pulis was appointed in November following a 1-0 win away at Hull City and led the then newly promoted side to a storming second half to the season, finishing 11th, 12 points above the drop zone.

Crystal Palace's search for a new manager might be getting quite desperate, but things would have to be looking very bad if they were to take into consideration actor James Buckley's spoof application for the job, under the guise of Jay from The Inbetweeners.
Buckley posted the comedy application on his Twitter page and even managed to get a response from Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish.
Jay's email on the application reads "mrbignob@hotmail.co.uk", and it also lists all his many footballing successes down the years on the computer games Football Manager and Championship Manager.
He also claims to have been educated by Richard Branson "in a balloon" and to have the ability to "drink more than 10 pints of cider and still drive safely".
The application also jokes that he launched a business with football star Rio Ferdinand - Jay & Rio's Pussay Patrol Car Stereos.

After just under a week without a manager, it looks like Crystal Palace have a new man in charge.
According to the Mirror’s Ed Malyon, Palace are set to name former Cardiff manager Malky Mackay as their new boss ahead of their game against West Ham on Saturday. That puts an end to speculation that the likes of David Moyes and Tim Sherwood were about to replace the unjustly ousted saviour of the Eagles who worked nothing short of a miracle last year.

Despite being a 40/1 rank outsider to face the sack first this season, following an unbelievable rescue and revival that saw Palace finish in 11th place in the Premier League, Tony Pulis sensationally quit the club last night after crisis talks with co-owner Steve Parish. Clearly, the crisis was not averted.
Now Palace - who have brought in some solid though mostly unspectacular players with the likes of Brede Hangeland, Fraizer Campbell, Chris Kettings and Martin Kelly from Liverpool – face a last-minute scrabble to bring in a new manager just hours before their season opener against Arsenal tomorrow. If the prospect of facing the Gunners at the Emirates wasn’t daunting enough, Palace must now do it without the manager who reinvented the team last year and brought with him a new footballing mentality that turned the team from relegation fodder to near top half finishers.

Martin Jol’s Fulham side slipped to a third straight defeat at Anfield, as Liverpool tore them to shreds in a 4-0 drubbing. Four Fulham shots on goal compared to 32 from Liverpool tells its own story, and it was a meek surrender from a team who are currently playing their way into a serious relegation scrap.
An own-goal from Fernando Amorebieta mid-way through the first half was what Liverpool just about deserved, as Fulham held their own relatively trouble-free in the opening exchanges. However, a bullet header from Martin Skrtel confirmed their surrender, and a Luis Suarez double either side of half-time increased the pressure on Jol to unbearable levels.

Former Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has emerged as the early favourite to replace Ian Holloway at Crystal Palace.
The 55-year-old has been out of work since he quit the Potters in May following successful seven-year spell at the Britannia Stadium.
Holloway resigned as Palace manager last night, less than a year after taking charge, and just eight games into the Premier League season.
The Eagles have won just one game since their return to the top-flight, against fellow strugglers Sunderland, and lost 4-1 at Fulham on Monday night.
Speculation about Holloway’s future intensified after the game and the former Blackpool boss confirmed his exit claiming he did not have the energy for a relegation fight.
Welshman Pulis was immediately installed as the favourite to take charge with Palace Chairman Steve Parish confirming they will consider the 55-year-old.
Parish told TalkSport: “He’s never been relegated and he’s out of work.

Struggling Crystal Palace were thrown into further chaos last night when manager Ian Holloway took the decision to step down from his role “by mutual consent”.
The former Blackpool boss only joined the London club in November 2012 and guided them into the Championship Play-Offs, where they gained promotion to the Premier League after beating Watford 1-0 at Wembley earlier this summer.
However, upon being reinstated in the topflight, Palace have found life difficult after crashing to seven defeats in their first eight games, leaving them second-bottom of the table.
The Eagles are now without a win since beating fellow strugglers Sunderland 3-1 on the final day of August and were hammered 4-1 by Fulham in what proved to be Holloway’s final game in charge last Monday.
That result leaves the club five points adrift of safety, with chairman Steve Parish commenting Holloway’s decision to walk...

Crystal Palace are hoping to continue their run as the Premier League’s busiest club in this transfer window by signing old boy Andy Johnson from Qpr, according to the club chairman.

Barclays Premier League newcomers Crystal Palace are now the surprise leaders in the race to sign striker Darren Bent, according to the Mirror.
Bent, 29, has made no secret of the fact that he wants to leave Aston Villa where he has found opportunities limited, but interest so far has only come from Fulham and Newcastle United.
Villa themselves have already rejected three advances from the Cottagers for his services, while Newcastle Director of Football Joe Kinnear is looking at the forward as he attempts to bolster their attacking options.
However, sources close to the player suggest he would prefer a move back to London – having played for Charlton Athletic and Tottenham Hotspur in the not to distant past – and would not rule out joining Palace particularly as he hails from that part of the capital.

Manchester United’s proposed move to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace and then immediately loan him back to the Championship side has been hit by a Football League probe, according to the Mirror.
The deal was thought to be virtually complete after Sir Alex Ferguson agreed a £15 million swoop for the winger, and has also agreed to loan the England international back to Selhurst Park for the remainder of the season.
However, the Football League are now involved and want to see the paperwork on the transfer before checking their rule book, as they have clamped down on these sorts of transfers in recent times.
The rule in question is Football League Section 6, paragraph 46.4, with the ‘executive’ needing to approve the switch and return.

Manchester United are in pole position to land Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha and are “confident” of signing him in the summer, according to a report on Espn.
The promising 20-year old has been courted by a number of other Premier League sides as well as United, including London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham, and his future has been of much speculation recently.
Arsenal were thought at one point to be leading the way for the Ivorian-born national – who can play either up front or on the wing – as Gunners boss Arsene Wenger seeks a replacement in midfield for Theo Walcott, who is being moved to a striker’s position in the side.
But Man United have apparently stolen a march on their rivals, and the current standings of both sides in the Premier League – Arsenal are 6th and United are top – may have factored into the player’s logic.

Championship side Crystal Palace will reject an £8 million offer from Manchester United for winger Wilfried Zaha, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The 20 year old is keen to make the step up to the Premier League in January, with Arsenal competing with the Red Devils for his signature.
Palace Chairman Steve Parish insists they will not sell the player for anything less than £20 million, but an offer of half that might be enough to persuade the club to sell.
The player himself, who is eligible to play for both the Ivory Coast and England, told the Daily Mail that he believes he is ready to make the transition from Championship to Premier League football.
He said:
“I’m not a teenager any more. I’ve played more than 100 first-team games and this year is crucial to develop my football career. I want to establish myself in the Premier League and in international football.

Crystal Palace’s co-chairman Steve Parish has warned Premier League clubs that 19-year-old Wilfried Zaha will cost potential suitors a minimum of £20 million.
According to The Daily Mail, the England U21 and Crystal Palace winger has been scouted by Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City this season ahead of a possible big money deal in the January transfer window.
Steve Parish spoke to the South London Press regarding Palace’s number 16;
“He is an extraordinary talent. I said at the start of the season that keeping hold of Wilf would be like spending a lot of money on a transfer. Other sides can fly their kites but it would take £20m before we even got interested.”
