Authorities on Friday arrested a Florida man for allegedly plotting the murder of his wife, a prominent doctor and mother of their two children who was found bludgeoned to death in their Bonita Springs home last June. "We were after Mark Sievers," Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott told the media at a news conference after the arrest. "We got our man and we're very happy for that." Mark Sievers, 47, was away from the home at a family reunion when Dr. Teresa Sievers, 46, was killed. The allegation against Sievers follows the arrest last August of two Missouri men, including Curtis Wright Jr.

Though you'll be forgiven for initially mistaking this trailer for a Polident ad, it is indeed the first look at old-people action sequel Red 2 where Bruce Willis' former CIA agent is coerced out of retirement (again) since, as aged cohort John Malcovich points out, he hasn't even killed people in months!
Helen Mirren is back too, and looking fierce may we say, as Red 2 finds the old (old) crew getting back together to settle another score. Mary-Elizabeth Parker also returns as Frank's arm candy and enthusiastic partner in crime and this time, Catherine-Zeta Jones makes this awkward as an ex, we assume, Anthony Hopkins is hopefully a bad guy and South Korea's Byung-hun Lee fires off a few rounds at our retirement-aged stars.
Red 2, directed by Dean Parisot, is scheduled to hit theatres this August.
Check out the first trailer after the jump.

Harlan Coben’s thriller novel “Tell No One” was a book before it became a French movie, and now it’s becoming a Ben Affleck-directed movie. “The Town” director is getting back on the crime wagon with “Tell No One”, and will direct for Warner Bros. and Universal, reports Deadline. For a while there, Coben’s novel was at Sony, where they tried to adapt it into a movie (with the now-ubiquitous duo of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci writing) before they eventually gave up. The French took a stab at it, and 2006′s “Tell No One” by Guillaume Canet (and co-starring English beauty Kristin Scott Thomas) was the result. So since the French has already proven that it could be done, Hollywood will now take a second stab at the source material. That’s Hollywood for ya, always taking chances. Ahem. The novel’s premise sounds killer: David Beck and Elizabeth Parker,...

Q: I recently watched a new series from USA Network titled White Collar, and I was stunned by the gorgeousness of the lead character, Neal, played by the beautiful Matthew Bomer. I can't seem to find much info about him. Mind to fill in more? -- rcLoy, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Matthew Bomer in White Collar
A: Bomer is from Houston where his father was a Dallas Cowboy. He was a high school (and, later, acting school) classmate of Pushing Daisies’ Lee Pace. He started on soaps, almost played Superman in the latest Superman movie, and co-starred on the TV show Tru Calling (with Eliza Dushku) and in the movie Flight Plan (with Jodie Foster), and also had a reoccurring role on Chuck.
And, oh yeah, a week and a half ago,...

Michael Douglas' Further Films is moving into Shirley Jackson's castle.
The company is developing the novel "We Have Always Lived in the Castle," Jackson's 1962 tome about a reclusive, potentially murderous family.
Further will produce the project with Literal Media, the firm that reps Jackson's work and a company in which Further has a stake. Laurence Hyman, Jackson's son and literary executor, also will have a produce role.
The Wme-repped Mark Kruger has penned a draft of the screenplay. Kruger most notably was a producer-writer on "The 4400," the supernatural series that aired from 2004-07 on the USA Network. Producers are out to cast.
"Castle" revolves around the Blackwood family -- primarily of sisters Merricat and Connie and their uncle Julian -- who have been forced into seclusion after the mysterious lethal poisoning of several of their family members six years earlier. Merricat is the younger sister, caring for the agoraphobic Connie,...
