Casting is one of the most important factors to get right when making a film; good actors saying bad lines can save a script (see Sir Ian McKellen in X-Men: The Last Stand); whereas bad actors working with a good script can come close to ruining a film completely (I refer you to Andie MacDowell in Four Weddings and a Funeral).
