Queen Elizabeth‘s eldest grandchild, Peter Phillips, and his girlfriend Lindsay Wallace have broken up.
The news was confirmed to People by his official spokesperson, telling the publication that the split was a “private matter.” The 46-year-old son of Princess Anne and Lindsay, the daughter of an oil businessman, had been dating for three years after he separated from his ex wife.

Peter split from his wife of 13 years, Autumn Phillips, back in February 2020. His divorced was finalized in June of 2021. The former married couple share two daughters: Savannah, 13, and Isla, 12.
If you don’t know, Peter is not a working royal at this time. He currently runs a sports management office.
Peter recently gave an update on his uncle, King Charles, amid his battle with cancer.

A commentator says that Kate Middleton‘s absence from Easter Sunday services “unmasked” the royal family’s “lackluster” appeal. The Princess of Wales subsequently missed the annual service and family walkabout. She continues to recover from abdominal surgery and receive treatment for a cancer diagnosis.
Kate Middleton’s absence from the annual royal event was keenly felt
The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, has stepped back from her duties to the crown as she recovers from abdominal surgery and cancer. She did not appear at the royal family‘s attendance at church services at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
However, Kate’s absence was keenly felt. Thus, a royal commentator claims the Princess of Wales brings a sense of star power to the clan, and by not attending, it “unmasked” the royal family’s “lackluster” appeal.

Turns out there were some downsides to attending the coronation concert. Ok, maybe just one, according to Mike Tindall. The husband of Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, revealed what wasn’t the greatest about going to the coronation concert after King Charles’ crowning.

On the heels of King Charles III's coronation and the arrival of the newest royal in May, discussions around who is next in line for the British throne have become front of mind. Following Queen Elizabeth II's death on Sept. 8, 2022, her first-born son, Charles, immediately became the sovereign and the rest of the family moved up in the line of succession. While the coronation formalized his place as monarch, Charles has actually been king since the moment his mother passed away. During the coronation ceremony, Prince William, who is next in line, played a prominent role, as did his three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Having reigned for seven decades, Elizabeth was the UK's longest-reigning monarch and was appointed to the throne at just 25 years old. By contrast, King Charles is 74 years old and is the oldest heir to accede to the throne. Charles's wife,...

After a few days of hemming and hawing from Buckingham Palace over protocol, they have reversed their decision to not let Prince Harry wear a military uniform when he stands for Queen Elizabeth II’s final public vigil on Saturday.
The Palace was initially hesitant to allow it because Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided to step away from being “working royals” over a year ago.
Harry was allowed to walk in uniform because of a special request by his father King Charles III, formerly Prince Charles. Prince William will stand at the head of the coffin while Harry will stand at the foot for a fifteen minute vigil in Westminster Hall.
Other royals attending the vigil will be her other grandchildren who are: Zara Tindall, Peter Phillips, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise, and James Viscount Severn. Their wardrobe will simply be morning coats and dark dresses.

All the major broadcast and cable networks carried the funeral of Prince Philip on Saturday, a mark of how significant the Royal Family is in the U.S.
But in the prelude of the service at St. George’s Chapel, there was a bit of a contrast between coverage on American outlets and those on the other side of the pond.
As the procession started around Windsor Castle, with Prince Charles, Princess Anne and other members of the Royal Family following Philip’s casket, placed in the back of a specially fit Land Rover, the commentary largely continued on U.S. networks while BBC World Service went with uninterrupted audio and visuals of the ceremony itself.
The network anchors and royal watchers began to pause their remarks as the procession got closer to the chapel, and as Queen Elizabeth II entered to the national anthem “God Save the Queen,” occasionally sprinkling in remarks.

Here’s the moment Prince Harry and Prince William walked separately behind Prince Philip’s coffin during the procession for their grandfather’s funeral.
Under the sun of a British spring day, the brothers were separated by their cousin Peter Phillips as they took part in the solemn procession to St George’s Chapel, in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Others in the procession included the Duke of Edinburgh’s children Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne.
Prince Harry and Prince William walked apart amid family tensions over the Duke of Sussex’s move to America, where he now lives with his wife Meghan Markle. A pregnant Markle is watching the events from home after a doctor said she should not travel.
Buckingham Palace said it would not be drawn on any “perceptions of drama” surrounding the order of the procession, which took place behind a specially modified Land Rover.

Prince William and Prince Harry will not be walking next to each other at Prince Philip's funeral on April 17, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Thursday. The brothers will both walk behind their grandfather's coffin, but their cousin Peter Phillips will walk between them. For the second procession into the chapel, William will then walk with Peter, while Harry and David Armstrong-Jones will walk behind them.
But before rumors of Harry and William's brotherly rift begin swirling again, a palace spokesperson noted to People that the procession order was "a practical change rather than sending a signal." The spokesperson added: "This is a funeral and we are not going to be drawn into perceptions of drama. The arrangements have been agreed and represent Her Majesty's wishes." But before rumors of Harry and William's brotherly rift begin swirling again, a palace spokesperson noted to People that the procession order was "a practical change rather than sending a signal." The spokesperson added: "This is a funeral and we are not going to be drawn into perceptions of drama. The arrangements have been agreed and represent Her Majesty's wishes." In an effort to reflect family unity, the family will also forgo wearing military uniforms and instead wear mourning dress.

For the second procession into the chapel, Prince William will walk with Peter with Prince Harry behind them. Next to Prince Harry will be David Armstrong-Jones, the son of Princess Margaret and Antony Armstrong-Jones. The news...

For a family so fundamentally averse to divorce, the royals sure do a lot of divorcing. Queen Elizabeth II could have used a PR break after an already disconcertingly eventful start to the new year. But just as the dust was seemingly starting to settle around the smoldering crater left when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle blew up their position within the royal family, there came word that another implosion was taking place nine spots down the line of succession. Some months after privately separating, Peter Phillips, son of Princess Anne and the queen's eldest grandchild, confirmed that he and wife Autumn Phillips are getting divorced after 12 years of marriage. "After...

Peter Phillips and Autumn Phillips are calling it quits. On Tuesday, Queen Elizabeth's grandson announced that he and his wife are separating after 12 years of marriage. In a statement from the couple, it was revealed that the 42-year-old royal, who is the son of Princess Anne and Her Majesty's eldest grandson, had informed the royal family of their decision last year. As parents of daughters Savannah, 9, and Isla, 7, Peter and Autumn shared that they wish to proceed with their divorce in an amicable way for the sake of their young girls. "They had reached the conclusion that this was the best course of action for their two children and ongoing friendship," a spokesperson said. "The decision...

There's no doubt that Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have an incredibly adorable family. Between future heir Prince George, scene-stealing Princess Charlotte, and sweet baby Prince Louis, the royal couple certainly have their hands full with their young family. With a new royal baby for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, some are wondering whether or not William and Kate will have any more children.
As most members of the royal family tend to do when it comes to personal matters, the couple have remained private as to whether or not they plan to grow their family any further. However, it seems pretty unlikely for a few different reasons. From a simple health perspective, it seems like it would probably be a very frustrating experience for the duchess. During all three of her pregnancies, Kate suffered from hyperemesis gravidarium, a severe and debilitating side effect of pregnancy that landed her in the hospital.

A few months after his birth, baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is stealing hearts. He may only be an infant, but questions are already being raised about what his childhood and upbringing will look like. While he's the right age to be close to his Cambridge cousins, Prince Harry's son won't probably be raised the same way as Prince William's kids.
Archie's upbringing will be different than his cousins' for one simple reason: his future role in the royal family is very different than theirs. It's not just about the difference in titles, either. Prince George will be king one day; Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will be the children of a king. As such, the assumption is that they will be full-time "working royals" for their entire lives.
In contrast, Archie is the son of a "spare" to the throne and is relatively low in the line of succession.

The royal family is a sprawling family tree indeed. Aside from the headline-grabbing royals with major titles and full-time royal duties, there are also plenty of royal cousins who appear at big events but are far enough down the line of succession that they're able to lead seminormal lives. In that latter category are the two children of Anne, Princess Royal, the only daughter and second child of Queen Elizabeth II. Because their father, Mark Phillips, did not possess a royal title (and declined the Queen's offer to give him one upon his marriage to Anne), the children do not bear royal titles either. They're low in the line of succession, since Anne is the lowest-ranked child of the Queen, so they've both been able to pursue their own paths in life - albeit still with some public scrutiny.
Anne's son, Peter Phillips, was born in 1977, making him the oldest grandchild of the Queen.

Although we're unlikely to read a heartfelt interview with her majesty on the subject anytime soon, actions speak louder than words, as is often the case with the queen. While Prince William and Kate Middleton were working out the first five years of their on-off relationship, the queen steered clear of meeting her grandson's girlfriend. Although they were in the same room on at least three occasions, there was zero interaction between the two women.

Just more than one month after Zara Tindall gave birth to her second baby, Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter has sadly revealed she suffered not one, but two miscarriages before welcoming little Lena into the royal family. Zara, 37, and her husband, Mike Tindall, 39, previously revealed in December 2016 that they had their first miscarriage. "Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy," the couple's spokesperson said at the time. One month earlier, Zara had announced in November 2016 that she and Mike were expecting their second baby. As if we needed any more proof that Kate Middleton is a supermom! When the 36-year-old Duchess of Cambridge appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony with her family on Saturday, June 9 for the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony, Kate was spotted expertly catching her three-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, as she took a tumble while waving to royal fans below. In the now-viral moment, Charlotte slipped off the step she had been standing on but, thankfully, eagle-eyed Kate grabbed her little girl before any real damage was done. Kate then picked up a noticeably shaken Charlotte and comforted her for a few moments before carefully placing her back down on the balcony step. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Kate catching Charlotte is far from the only Trooping the Colour moment royal fans are buzzing about today. For some reason, Queen Elizabeth's relationship with Meghan Markle is seemingly progressing faster than her relationship progressed with Kate Middleton, her other famous granddaughter-in-law. Perhaps it's just a matter of timing, perhaps Kate made Elizabeth realize outsiders are Ok, or perhaps Meghan just endeared herself to the British monarch faster! For example, Elizabeth and Meghan will make their first joint engagement on June 14, just days after Meghan's return from her honeymoon. The two royals will head to Chester, England, to open the Storyhouse cultural center and then eat lunch at the town hall with Lord and Lady Mayoress. As Yahoo! Lifestyle noted, however, Kate had been married to Prince William for nearly a year by the time she took her first personal trip with the Queen. Prince Harry has quite a few family memories at the location that he and Meghan Markle will marry in May.
The newly engaged couple will wed at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, England, which is also where Harry’s father, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles married in 2005.
The chapel is much smaller than Westminster Abbey, where Harry's brother, Prince William, married Kate Middleton in 2011 and Prince Charles married Princess Diana, Harry and William's mother, in 1981. St. George’s Chapel seats 800 while Westminster Abbey can fit a whopping 2,000 people.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have just hit a major milestone in their relationship. Shortly after their three-week vacation in Botswana and Zambia, the famous royal flew his girlfriend to Scotland to meet Queen Elizabeth II. After visiting with his dad, Prince Charles, and stepmother, Camilla, at Birkhall (their estate in Aberdeenshire), the duo headed over to the queen's Summer residence, Balmoral Castle, about seven miles away. "It went well," a source told Us Weekly. "It'll no doubt be the first of many encounters." It's also worth noting that it took Kate Middleton five years to meet the queen, while Meghan's meeting comes less than one year after news of her romance with Harry broke. Kate and Will started dating in 2003, and she met the queen at the wedding of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly in 2008. Now that Meghan has officially met Her Majesty, does this mean wedding bells are in store?...

One day after London's grand Trooping the Colour in her honor, Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 90th birthday on Sunday with an outdoor party - and 10,000 guests in the road leading from Buckingham Palace on Sunday. (If you haven't yet seen the Lego version, please do so now. We'll wait.) It was the third main event to publicly laud the Queen in as many days, following her "neon at 90" appearance at Trooping on Saturday and a thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral on Friday.
