Naomi Z. Newman (born December 24, 1930) is a co-founder of A Traveling Jewish Theatre, where she worked as playwright, director and actress for 34 years, winning awards in each field. Before that she sang on the concert-stage, acted in television and had a psychotherapy practice. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, she was on the senior staff at the Center for the Healing Arts in Los Angeles, becoming a pioneer in exploring the psychological and spiritual aspects of healing. She has two daughters, Jane and Maia, by her marriage to Reginald Pollack.
Naomi Newman was the second wife of artist, academic, and WWII veteran Reginald Pollack. The couple wed in Paris and the marriage produced two daughters before ending in divorce.
