Marlon Brando hired Rhodes to serve as his personal makeup artist. In the
course of 40 years, he worked with Brando on many films and on the
stage production of George Bernard Shaw's "Arms and the Man," Brando's last stage
appearance, in 1954.
His wife, Marie Rhodes, was Marlon Brando's movie stand-in during the early to mid-1960s.
