Died of a massive heart attack aboard an airplane as it was waiting to depart to Toronto from Calgary International Airport.
He wrote commercial jingles, worked as a session musician, and formed a recording studio.
He earned a Bachelor of Music in composition at the University of Toronto, while playing with the Silhouettes, and appearing at Toronto nightclubs.
He contracted polio as a child.
