- Rudolf Rittner was born on June 30, 1869 in Weißbach, Silesia, Germany [now Bílý Potok, Czech Republic]. He was an actor and writer, known for The Master of Nuremberg (1927), Die Nibelungen: Siegfried (1924) and Die Nibelungen: Kriemhild's Revenge (1924). He died on February 4, 1943 in Weißbach, Silesia, Germany [now Bílý Potok, Czech Republic].
- When he died 13 years after his last appearance the audience has forgotten him mostly and he was commemorated by appreciations in newspapers after his death.
- Rittner became famous for playing knight and folk hero Florian Geyer in Gerhart Hauptmann's drama of the same name.
