Damien Anthony Rossi is a USA-born Australian-based TV Presenter/Host, Entertainment Reporter, Media Personality, Columnist and former Casting Director. Damien is best known as a Presenter on the popular Channel 7 travel and lifestyle program 'The Great South East' and as the man who oversees The Sunday Mail's iconic social pages in Brisbane, Queensland (Australia). He is also a sought-after host, compere and MC for corporate and charity events as well as serving as an official Ambassador for major festivals and events such as the Brisbane Horse Racing Carnival and the Noosa Long Weekend Festival. Relocating to Australia from Los Angeles as a Casting Director in 1992 and establishing his company Rossi Casting Group which operated in Brisbane from 1995 to 2007, Damien has worked with many of Australia's best known actors including Hugh Jackman, Toni Collette, Rachel Griffiths, Claudia Karvan, Deborra-lee Furness, Jason Donovan and Graeme Blundell. Many now famous faces have passed through the doors of his casting studio including Miranda Kerr, Gyton Grantley, Natalie Gruzlewski, Josh Lawson, Natalie Blair, Ingo Rademacher and pop duo The Veronicas (Lisa and Jess Origliasso). Since 1995 Damien has hosted Rossi's Oscars, an annual Academy Awards Night charity event in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, raising over $250,000 for cancer research and charities.
