José Luis Salomón is a cinematographer who is a member of the AEC (Spanish Society of Cinematogrphers). He graduated from the renowned International Film and TV School - EICTV (San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba) in 1996.
Based in Madrid, he began his career working alongside prominent cinematographers such as Vittorio Storaro as a focus puller. But his early approach to digital cinema in 2002, led him to specialize as one of the first DITs in Spain.
The knowledge acquired in his early days as a technician and having been born into a family dedicated to the film industry, has given him the tools to explore different film styles with great versatility, based on a solid command of the technique.
Due to his double nationality, Spanish and Peruvian, his career has developed on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, collaborating with directors like Carlos Saura and shooting in countries like Canada, Cuba, Peru, Spain, Sweden, Morocco, Senegal or India among others.
