Was a member of the Spanish pop quartet Red de San Luis, who released two albums in 1979 and 1980 and achieved great popularity in Spain, especially with a Spanish adaptation of "The Clapping Song".
His wife, Chelo Vivares, was his co-star Barrio Sésamo (1979). She played the series' main star Espinete, although she was never seen as she played the character inside a costume.
Best remembered by a whole generation of Spanish children as Chema, the baker, in the TV series Barrio Sésamo (1979), which he played from 1983 to 1987.
