Detailed Guide to ‘A Christmas Prince’ Film Series ( Photo Credit – IMDb )
Films and TV shows do not always have to be profound, with a deeper meaning behind them. They don’t always have to have a conventional format, and they definitely do not always have to be life-changing experiences. And while many films out there aim for substance and depth, sometimes they can get a bit daunting and stressful. Which is why cheesy, guilty pleasure films exist. These are movies that just go for the cheese and clichés, no grand conclusions, no complexities whatsoever. They’re often so bad that it makes them good.
One such film series is the “A Christmas Prince” trilogy. It’s a Christmas romance that was first released in 2017, but apparently, one movie wasn’t enough, so they decided to turn it into a trilogy.

Exclusive: Vernon Wells (Mad Max), Laurene Landon (Aramon’s Gate) and Sadie Katz (The Bill Murray Experience) have joined the cast of paranormal horror film The Beast Inside.
Katz and co-writer/director Jim Towns wrote the screenplay, and the film will be produced through Katz’s newly launched See You Next Tuesday Films. Johnny Pasquale and No Mansfield will executive produce with Jimmy Star and Eileen Shapiro on as co-producers.
Beast Inside follows a woman who believes she is possessed by a demon, so a desperate mother must perform a self exorcism before the demon kills her and moves on to her young son.
“It was important to me to tell more than just a typical possessed woman story, someone who is stuck waiting for someone else to rid her of her demons,” said Katz. “Anne, our lead takes matters into her own hands to save herself and her family.

Oh, baby! Netflix dropped the trailer for “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby” Wednesday, the third film in its “A Christmas Prince” holiday rom-com franchise. And based on the trailer, Amber (Rose McIver) is going to have way more problems this Christmas season than just the general drama that comes with giving birth to your first child.
Watch the trailer above, which features the return of Queen Amber, her husband King Richard (Ben Lamb) and a whole lot of problems for Aldovia if they don’t find a stolen treaty before Christmas!
Here’s the official synopsis for the third “A Christmas Prince” film:
It’s Christmastime in Aldovia, and a royal baby is on the way! Queen Amber (Rose McIver) and King Richard (Ben Lamb) are getting ready to take some time off to prepare for their first child’s arrival, but first they have to host King Tai...

“A Christmas Prince” became a trilogy Monday, with Netflix setting a third film in the franchise for this coming holiday season.
But the most important piece of that news was that the followup to the sequel a “The Royal Wedding” will include a tiny new addition to the cast — and Amber (Rose Iver) and Richard’s (Ben Lamb) family.
The streamer made the royal announcement via its “See What’s Next” Twitter account early Monday, sharing a sonogram picture of an unborn infant wearing a crown with the text: “Baby Makes 3. ‘A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.’ This holiday season.”
Stars McIver, Lamb, and Alice Krige will return for “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.”
Here’s the official description for the film: “It’s Christmastime in Aldovia–and a royal baby is on the way! Amber and Richard host royals from a faraway kingdom to renew an ancient truce,...

"It's like Bridezilla in reverse!" Netflix has debuted their official trailer for the cheesy romantic comedy A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding, a sequel to the film released last year A Christmas Prince. In the first one, a journalist falls in love with the prince and ends up with plans to soon marry him. In this one, with the royal wedding ceremony approaching on Christmas night, she starts to feel unsure and isn't entirely ready to make the leap. All the while, the prince ends up in a political crisis of his own. The Royal Wedding once again stars Rose McIver and Ben Lamb from the first, with a cast including Alice Krige, Richard Ashton, Tahirah Sharif, Joel McVeagh, and Clara Ciobanu. This lead actress reminds me too much of Keri Russell, but no. This looks very sweet and campy, but maybe there's a few good lessons in the film.

You are cordially invited to the royal wedding of the century. No, not Kate and Will’s or Harry and Meghan’s. We’re talking about the Real royal wedding. The one you’ve been waiting for ever since Amber and Richard got engaged at the end of “A Christmas Prince.” Right, the only one that matters.
Yes, the official trailer for Netflix’s “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding” has dropped, giving fans of 2017’s breakout holiday TV movie their first look at Amber (Rose Iver) and Richard’s (Ben Lamb) over-the-top nuptials in the sequel.
And the 2-minute, 29-second clip has us wondering if everyone’s favorite blogger is going to be able to hack it as the queen of a small country.

Disney has released a new trailer for their upcoming TV movie remake of the classic 1987 film Adventures in Babysitting. I loved that original movie mostly because, as I've previously stated, I had a crush on Elisabeth Shue.
Disney's upcoming remake looks horrendously awful. The story follows two babysitters, who are played by Sabrina Carpenter (Girl Meets World) and Sofia Carson (Disney’s Descendants). They go on an adventure through the city looking for one of the kids that they’re supposed to be taking care of.
The trailer features the two characters who find themselves on stage in a club in some kind of freestyle rap battle and it’s just one of the worst things ever. My kids are going to want to watch this, but I think I’ll just show them the original film instead.

Elisabeth Shue’s 1987 film Adventures in Babysitting is a classic. It’s one of those movies that I used to to watch all of the time when I was growing up. I totally had a crush on Elisabeth Shue!
Well, the Disney Channel made a remake of that movie and the first trailer for it has been released. The new movie stars Sabrina Carpenter of Girl Meets World and Sofia Carson of The Descendants as two babysitters who have lost one of the kids they’re supposed to be taking care of.
The movie looks exactly like what you’d expect from the Disney Channel. It looks nowhere near as good as the original film, and you certainly won’t be hearing the line, “Don’t fuck with the babysitter,” in a Disney Channel movie.

Some of the greatest (or at least heavily favored) American television shows got the big screen treatment when they were selected to have their small screen following turn into a cinematic experience. Unfortunately, for every beloved nostalgic television show that translated successfully in movie theaters (The Brady Bunch Movie, Star Trek, Batman, etc.) there are boob tube stinkers that overtake the good crop. Sure, there are middle-of-the-road movie adaptations of television programs that have a mixed bag reception (1997’s Leave It To Beaver, 1987’s Dragnet, 2012’s Dark Shadows, etc.). Nevertheless, it is always the unflattering fare that receive the bulk of the attention (do you register, 1999’s The Wild, Wild West ?).
In Boob on the Tube: Top Ten Worst Movie Adaptations of TV Shows we will take a look at the top ten televised offenders that dared to venture into cinema’s stratosphere only to end up floating down shamefully...

“Girl Meets World” stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter have both been cast in separate Disney Channel original movies, the network revealed on Friday.
Carpenter, 15, will star alongside Sofia Carson (Disney’s “Descendants”) in “Further Adventures in Babysitting,” which is inspired by Elisabeth Shue‘s cult 1987 adventure-comedy “Adventures in Babysitting.” Blanchard, meanwhile, who is just 13, is set to star with Paris Berelc (“Mighty Med”) in the live-action adventure-comedy “Invisible Sister.”

Chris Columbus' "Adventures in Babysitting" is one of those Disney movies that is really quite good but gets glossed over a lot of the time because it wasn't a big hit when it was released and the studio has never really gotten behind it since (although, somewhat surprisingly, a high definition 25th anniversary edition was released on Blu-ray). While a sequel or remake or something has been floated around over the past decade, with both Raven Symone and Miley Cyrus having been linked to the project, it looks like things are finally getting underway on a proper follow-up (according to AdWeek). That's right folks, coming soon to the Disney Channel is.... "Further Adventures in Babysitting."
Set to debut in 2016, almost 30 years after the original film was released (shortly after Michael Eisner and Jeffrey Katzenberg came to Disney and injected fresh blood and a new sensibility), "Further Adventures in Babysitting...

The Anchor Bay Entertainment re-release of director John Schultz' 1999 teen romance comedy "Drive Me Crazy", is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
The film is based on the novel "How I Created My Perfect Prom Date" by author Todd Strasser :
"...'Nicole Maris' (Melissa Joan Hart) and 'Chase Hammond' (Adrian Grenier) live next door to each other. Nicole lives with her divorced mother and Chase's mother died, , making them two teens living with their single parents. However, they are worlds apart. Nicole is up on the latest fashions. Chase, on the latest protest. She wouldn't miss a pep rally or basketball game with her scheming socialite friends. He can usually be found in a dark coffee room with his friends who don't care what they wear.

Going to the movies with the little ones is risky business. Lately, it's all too common to be taken by surprise by some of the high tech gimmicks, swaggering violence, or other age-inappropriate scenes and language that sometimes pop out of left field in a supposedly PG rated family film. In this regard, Hollywood just can't help itself when making films intended for children. This isn't the case with Relativity's release of John Schultz's "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer" movie. To absolutely no one's surprise, Hollywood has plumbed the vacuous depths of the children's lit market and come up with yet another hopeful franchise. Obviously, author Megan McDonald meant for her girl with the tangled red hair, the so-called "heroine" of the Judy Moody book series, to evoke aspects of both Pippi Longstocking and Ramona Quimby. This adaptation, directed by John Schultz (who helmed the similarly frenetic Aliens in the Attic), manages to stuff a whole lot of turbulent action into this movie despite the fact that there's nothing going on in the process. It's not even loosely controlled -- it's completely uncontrolled and exceedingly loud to boot. For the simple reason that it's not only a very boring movie but also a very shrill one, adults will positively despise Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer. Kids will tolerate it well enough, but they won't get anything out if it either.

Title: Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer Director: John Schultz (‘Drive Me Crazy,’ ‘Like Mike’) Starring: Jordana Beatty (‘Superman Returns,’ ‘Legend of the Seeker’), Heather Graham, Parris Mosteller (TV’s ‘Worst Week’) The start of the summer has always marked the beginning of countless adventures for children across America. The new Relativity Media family comedy movie ‘Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer,’ which was released just in time for the start of many kids’ vacations, aims to show what thrills and excitement they can unfold. However, the movie, which stars Australian newcomer Jordana Beatty in the title role, unfortunately doesn’t live up to its full potential and expectations, which...

When John Schultz was in elementary school, his favorite classroom activity was when the teacher would hand out a vocabulary list of 20 words and he would have to write a story that employed all of them. "I loved that challenge of here's what you have to work with. Make it work," Schultz said.
It shouldn't be all that surprising then that the director is making his third indie feature, but it is refreshing that with this week's "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer," he's aiming to entertain today's elementary school kids by working in the indie world's least prolific genre, the family film. Oddly, in the considerably more ungoverned area of the medium that's wide open to personal coming-of-age stories and cinematic anarchy, few are made with the intention of appealing to all audiences.
Less unusual has been Schultz's career path, though it still might strike some as peculiar.

Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer
Directed by: John Schultz
Cast: Jordana Beatty, Heather Graham, Parris Mosteller, Jaleel White
Running Time: 1 hr 31 mins
Rating: PG
Release Date: June 10, 2011
Plot: A young girl (Beatty) determined to have the best summer ever, creates a system that awards her with thrill points whenever she does something different and exciting.
Who’S It For?: Kids who like poop jokes will get a few bits of imagination sprinkled into their entertainment diet, but the amount is underwhelming considering the movie’s potential. As for me, my inner-child and outer-adult were both bored by the movie midway through, once it lost its spark as something creative and instead became something dull.
Expectations: Especially with its grammatical toying, this one looked pretty silly. But what does a “not bummer summer” constitute? Hopefully this movie would encourage creativity both with and within the movie. And possibly...

Jordana Beatty shows plenty of charisma but Not Bummer Summer is a dull adventure. Take all the bright colored paints, gluey streaks of sparkles, stickers and comical sketches that make up the standard elementary school student art project; toss it onto the big screen and you'll have a family adventure similar to director John Schultz's high-energy adaptation of Megan McDonald's popular Judy Moody series of children's books, Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer from Relativity Media and Universal Pictures. To the parents' eyes, Not Bummer Summer may come off as too frantic in tone, visually cluttered and haphazard in its storytelling. Chicago – Films based on children’s book series can’t all be good. The law of averages eventually catches up to the literary moppets who turn their charms towards the big screen. Case in point, the below average “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.”
Rating: 2.0/5.0
The film is all sticky, cutesy poo (literally) that is as welcome this summer as a mosquito at a barbecue. Strangely cast in the film is Heather Graham, as free-spirited Aunt Opal, acting much as she did when she shed her clothing as Rollergirl in “Boogie Nights.” And the hyper-caffeinated Judy Moody is stuck in overdrive through Jordana Beatty’s performance, a child actor least likely to evolve to a post adolescent career.
Nine-year old Judy Moody (Beatty) is looking forward to the best summer ever. She fidgets through the last day of third grade, when teacher Mr. Todd (Jaleel White) establishes his yearly “Find Mr.

Maybe I just didn't pay that much attention to kids/tween movies before I started writing for Gtbp, but there seems to be a huge market for these movies. Diary of a Wimpy Kid quickly spawned a sequel, and while it wasn't to my taste, the kids at the screening ate it up. Now we have Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer coming out in June, and it looks to be the same style of movie.
Based on the popular books, the film stars Jordana Beatty as Judy Moody alongside the ever attractive Heather Graham. She's 41 but doesn't look over 30... uhh, yeah, I'll save those thoughts for a post that Isn't about a kids movie. Directed by John Schultz, Judy Moody looks to supplement a lack of family movies in June, so it should do rather well.
