Exclusive: Following her breakout role as Shin Hati in the hit Star Wars series Ahsoka, Ivanna Sakhno has found her next big role. Sources tell Deadline she has landed a major part in M3GAN 2.0, a sequel to the hit film from Atomic Monster and Blumhouse in association with Divide/Conquer.
She joins a cast that includes Allison Williams and Violet McGraw.
Plot details on M3GAN 2.0 are unknown, but the original film revolves around a life-like AI doll that is programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. The sci-fi horror film M3GAN (watch it Here) was a box office success when it was released last year, earning $181 million at the global box office on a budget of $12 million and spawning a sequel that is set to reach theatres in May of 2025. A lot of people had fun replicating the AI doll’s dance moves on TikTok… but how many people are such big fans of M3GAN that they’d be willing to spend $495 to buy a life-size replica of the doll? The collectible makers at Neca are about to find out, because they have created life-size replicas of M3GAN and are selling them for $494.99. You can check out the product page at This Link. M3GANs will start shipping out by the end of the year.

‘Salem’s Lot by Stephen King (Photo Credit: Penguin Random House)
The new adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot is no longer getting a theatrical release. Originally scheduled to debut in theaters way back in September 2022, New Line has now confirmed it will stream on Max instead.
The announcement didn’t include a premiere date but did state that it’s expected to arrive on streaming in 2024.
“Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire,” reads New Line’s synopsis. The cast is led by Lewis Pullman as Ben Mears and includes Alfre Woodard as Dr. Cody, Makenzie Leigh as Susan Norton, and Bill Camp as Matthew Burke.
Spencer Treat Clark plays Mike Ryerson, Pilou Asbæk is Straker, and John Benjamin Hickey is Father Callahan.

Stephen King fans, rejoice! The fate of the film adaptation of "Salem's Lot" has been up in the air over the past couple years, despite revealing footage from the project at CinemaCon back in 2022. Not even Stephen King himself knew what was going on with the film's potential release, though he wasn't shy about singing the praises of the movie from filmmaker Gary Dauberman, the director of "Annabelle Comes Home" and co-writer of "It" and sole writer of "It: Chapter Two." Thankfully, fans no longer have to ask when they'll be able to see the new "Salem's Lot" movie, because we finally have an idea of when it will be released. But it won't be in theaters.
Max has officially announced that "Salem's Lot" will debut on the streaming service sometime in 2024. They didn't give a specific release date or even a season of the release, but at least the...

Max has made it official that New Line’s feature take of Stephen King’s 1975 bestselling novel Salem’s Lot isn’t going in theaters, but on the Ott service this year. No exact date has been announced.
The buzz of this was heavily out there. It’s sort of an upset to Warner Bros Discovery: CEO David Zaslav has emphasized how he’s about theatrical, and how he doesn’t believe in straight-to-streaming movies. Salem’s Lot was expected to be another big play for New Line in the revived Stephen King big screen universe following the massive $1.1 billion global grossing success of the It franchise. In fact, the co-writer of that movie, Gary Dauberman, directed, adapted and executive produced Salem’s Lot. The movie originally occupied the post Labor Day space of 2022, a frame made rich by Warner Bros with Stephen King and Conjuring horror fare, until they pulled the...

More than 40 years ago, in 1982, director Nicholas Meyer's "The Wrath of Khan" revitalized "Star Trek," overcoming its low budget to be the shot in the arm that "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" failed to be.
This was the second time that the "Star Trek: The Original Series" cast reunited on the silver screen. With how long it has been, it's sadly unsurprising that most of the original "Star Trek" main cast is no longer with us. Spock's sacrifice and emotional last exchange with Kirk in "The Wrath of Khan" are even sadder and more poignant now with Leonard Nimoy's real-life passing in 2015.
Even most of the film's own supporting cast have passed on. Ricardo Montalbán, who delivered the performance of a lifetime as Khan Noonien Singh himself, died in 2009 at age 88. However, a select few of the movie's cast are still with us.

Universal, Blumhouse and co-producer James Wan took us for a Night Swim in theaters over the weekend, with the Bryce McGuire-directed horror movie becoming the genre’s very first theatrical release of the new year. Was it a strong start for the horror genre, you ask?
Night Swim debuted in 3,250 theaters across the United States over the weekend, opening to $12 million domestically. Worldwide, the film scared up $17.6 million in its debut.
Here’s the day-to-day breakdown here in the United States:
Friday, January 5: $5,250,000 Saturday, January 6: $4,180,000 Sunday, January 7: $2,570,000
For the sake of comparison, Blumhouse’s M3GAN was released in January of last year, and the viral appeal of the title character drove the film to a $30 million domestic opening. Granted, nobody in their right mind expected Night Swim to perform the way M3GAN did.
Other recent Blumhouse releases and their domestic opening weekend totals include Five Nights at Freddy’s...

The high concept supernatural thriller Night Swim is out in theaters now, plunging a family into an aquatic nightmare thanks to a haunted swimming pool. It also happens to be based on a 2014 short film of the same name by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire, and you can watch it right now.
When speaking with McGuire ahead of Night Swim‘s theatrical release, the filmmaker said of the short’s inspiration, “The short was really just Rod Blackhurst and I hanging out in a pool one night and being like, ‘Remember when you were a kid, and you got freaked out because you couldn’t see the bottom anymore?’ And you thought that something was beneath you. It was like, ‘Yeah, I still feel that.’ Then, ‘Let’s see if we can capture that in a short amount of time, in a short format.’”

Soon after the release of M3GAN back in January, it was announced that the team behind the film – Universal Pictures, Blumhouse Productions, and James Wan’s production company Atomic Monster – were aiming to replicate M3GAN‘s January theatrical success by setting a January 2024 release date for their supernatural thriller Night Swim. The new trailer for Universal Pictures’ Night Swim opens with a scene similar to It, with a pool drain subbing in for a sidewalk curb inlet. A child notices something floating in the drain and reaches for it when suddenly a grotesque arms shoots out and grabs the young girl.
A cat becomes a victim of whatever is haunting a backyard pool, and the home owner’s children seem to be particularly sensitive to the supernatural pool dwellers.
“My kids have seen things and I’m worried something is happening to my husband?” says the mom, played by Oscar nominee Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin).
The cast also includes Wyatt Russell (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters), Amélie Hoeferle (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), and Gavin Warren (Fear the Walking Dead).

The sci-fi thriller M3GAN (read our review Here, get a copy Here) was such a financial success when it reached theatres, it didn’t even take Universal Pictures and production companies Blumhouse and Atomic Monster two weeks to announce that they’d be re-teaming for a sequel. M3GAN 2.0 is set to reach theatres on January 17, 2025 – and during an interview with Empire Magazine (with thanks to Collider for sharing the information), producer James Wan said we can expect to see the sequel lean further into exploring concerns about AI.
Based on a story crafted by Wan, M3GAN was directed by Gerard Johnstone from a screenplay by Akela Cooper (Malignant). The film has the following synopsis: She’s more than just a toy. She’s part of the family.
From the most prolific minds in horror — James Wan, the filmmaker behind the Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring franchises, and Blumhouse, the producer of the Halloween films,...

Five years after the Conjuring Universe entry The Nun wracked up almost $366 million at the global box office, a sequel finally reached the big screen on September 8th. At the start of this month, The Nun II was given a digital release (you can get it at This Link). Now Deadline reports that the movie will be streaming on the Max service just in time for Halloween! The Nun II will be available to watch on Max as of October 27th.
The sequel didn’t replicate the box office success of the first film, but it still did quite well. As of this writing, The Nun II has earned over $257 million worldwide.
The Nun II is directed by Michael Chaves from a screenplay by Akela Cooper and the writing duo of Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing (The Autopsy of Jane Doe). The film has the following synopsis: 1956 – France. A priest is murdered.

One of the biggest horror hits in recent memory (and one of the biggest original hits of any kind for that matter) was "M3GAN." Naturally, that means a sequel is on the way. Get ready for "M3GAN 2.0."

Five years after "The Nun" became the biggest movie in the history of The Conjuring Universe, Valak the demon nun is back for more. That's right! After being caught in development and, no thanks to the pandemic, delayed for a little while, "The Nun II" is finally upon us, with Bonnie Aarons returning as Valak and Taissa Farmiga suiting up once again as Sister Irene to fight the evil being in the lord's name. Let's get ready to rumble.
It's clear that Warner Bros. has no plans on ending this franchise any time soon, as "The Conjuring 4" and a TV series set in the universe are already in the works. So, does "The Nun II" contain any teases of what's to come? Does this sequel contain a post-credits scene of some kind? We're here to give you a spoiler-free answer to that question, as well as some context to help...
