The most anticipated summer dance show, Summer Funk™ conducted by The Shiamak Dance Academy lived up to its expectations showcasing various dance styles in front of a packed audience! Performers between ages four to eighty four danced through the summer and put up a colourful display on July 25 at The Watford Colosseum in London.
The biggest highlight of the show this year was a surprise visit by the Artistic Director and Founder, Shiamak Davar himself along with his COO Marzi Pestonji who is also a famous dance reality show judge (Nach Baliye Season 7). “It’s always a special feeling attending the Summer Funk show here in London. The energy and enthusiasm is fantastic! In fact, many students from London have come to Mumbai to train with me as a part of my One Year Dance Certification Program (Oyp). So I am happy to see their commitment to dance.” says Shiamak.

Londoners were treated to a surprise performance on Wednesday 17th June 2015 as more than 50 dancers descended across the capital to take part in the UK’s biggest Bollywood ‘flash mob’ its seen. Starting with just six dancers, the ‘flash mob’ group quickly grew, with the performers emerging from all corners of the crowd dancing to catchy Bollywood tunes, as bystanders looked both delighted and bemused.
Calling themselves BollyMobUK, the dancers, mainly students from the Shiamak Davar’s London Dance Academy, stated they were inspired when watching the popular Indian dance show Nach Baliye on Star Plus (literal translations “Dance with me my beloved”).

India’s popular dance extravaganza – the ConfiDance Show made its international debut here in London. Performed by the special potential students, this also marked the launch of the Shiamak Dance Team here that performs various dance styles at shows and events.
The ConfiDance Show was a display of Contemporary, Bollywood Jazz, Hip Hop and Broadway, and was witnessed by a packed audience at the Arts Depot, Finchley. With amazing choreography, forty five trained and disciplined performers, breathtaking visuals and colorful costumes, this show presented a complete performing arts experience in a little over two hours.
Shiamak’s senior instructors and who teach his classes in the UK performed at this show and led the team through this energetic showcase. “We’ve all danced at shows like ConfiDance during our training years back in India. It was a compete pleasure sharing our experience with this enthusiastic team and making them feel like stars on stage.

Earlier this month Zee Entertainment launched their new channel &TV (andTV) in India with the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan’s show Sabse Shaana Kaun. The glamorous launch was choreographed by Guru of Dance, Shiamak Davar with his dance company dancing with Srk to his hit songs fused with the show theme song.

Over 300 students from the Shiamak Davar Dance Academy took to the stage at De Montfort Hall on Saturday, March 21 for their first ever Spring Funk Show in the Midlands.
Dance enthusiasts from ages four to eighty four brought the theme, World Dance Beats come alive on stage performing style including Contemporary, Hip – Hop, Salsa and the most popular Bollywood Jazz. The world’s biggest Bollywood dance academy had the audiences on their feet throughout the two hour student showcase.
