Episode 26: “Variations On Relations”
Written by Mark Frost & Harley Peyton, Directed by Jonathan Sanger
Airdate April 11th, 1991
The episode opens with Coop, Truman, Andy and Hawk returning to Owl Cave for further exploration of the petroglyph they discovered last episode, but when they get there they find someone’s already done the work for them. Part of the wall has crumbled away, revealing an even larger, more detailed petroglyph than they originally found. Hawk notices a boot print in the dirt and says it matches the one he found outside the power station the night it exploded, which means the person who was here and who unearthed this larger petroglyph was Earle. The image itself looks like a map with mountains that have swirling vortices inside them...

Remember Mario Paint? The 1992 Super Nintendo game gave you the option to sketch and color images using a mouse, so Mike Matei spent a staggering four months using that technology to recreate the intro to the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. Why? The better question is, why not? Take a look at the impressively-created video (the characters' motion comes across very well), and then let Mike show you in painstaking detail how he made this possible.
I'd say I was surprised that it took the internet until 2016 to get around to doing this, but then again it seems like an incredibly excruciating process, so I guess I actually can believe it took that long.

In my review of the Better Call Saul season 2 finale, I noted that Saul has essentially become two shows in one: the legal and romantic adventures of Jimmy McGill, which occasionally offer reminders of the show where we first met him; and the rising criminal career of Mike Ehrmantraut, which at the moment is hip-deep in Breaking Bad villains — but not necessarily the one everybody's waiting for. Earlier today, I spoke with Saul creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould about the finale, the character who was implied (in a puzzle that fans online solved before the producers were expecting them to) but not shown, juggling the two shows in one, the great supporting performances by Rhea Seehorn and Michael McKean, and more. Their answers (with full spoilers, of course) are coming up just as soon as I want coffee but I do not want cream... You guys did an interview...

Never one to take the conventional route, Olivia Munn shot down reports that she’s engaged to boyfriend Aaron Rogers by posting a text message conversation with her mom.
The “Newsroom” actress, who has been doing press for her new movie “Ride Along 2,” explained, “Answering yes or no to personal questions can be tricky because if you say ‘No’ it means whenever you say ‘No comment’ that kind of becomes your default ‘Yes.’ But since I'm doing press for the next few days, I didn't want to have to answer the same question over and over. So instead, I'm going to let my text conversation with my Asian mom help me out.#Colberto.”
In the message, Munn’s mom stated, “Oh man you engagement?? You know we love Aaron. I pray say thanks for him all the times. I bet Chance happy. Hey why don’t you tell me first?...

Charlie Sheen ex Bree Olson got most of the attention for appearing on "The Howard Stern Show" this morning, but guess who else was on? A-list movie star and "Stern Show" regular Seth Rogen, who stopped by to promote his upcoming comedy "The Night Before" (read Drew's review here). The actor's off-the-cuff demeanor always makes him a slam-dunk guest on the show, and today he addressed such topics as the aftermath of last year's "Interview" controversy, his awkward run-in with Justin Bieber backstage at "Ellen" and the bizarre episode that went down in Michael Strahan's dressing room. Below are five highlights, with relevant sound clips from the appearance. 1. He got booked on "Ellen" during "Justin Bieber Week," bringing him face-to-face with the singer he once publicly called "a piece of shit." "It was one of those things where I just started saying shit," Rogen described of the "polite" encounter backstage,...

A review of tonight's "Better Call Saul" coming up just as soon as I do the sex robot voice... "I'm no hero." -Jimmy I really enjoyed the first two hours of "Saul," but "Nacho" is the first installment to suggest an actual structure for the new show. We get a story to keep Jimmy occupied for the whole episode, which is resolved on one level even as it's setting things up for future stories with Jimmy getting a look at all the cash the Kettlemans stole. And it's a whole lot of fun from beginning to end. Though Jimmy protests his good guy bonafides, it's worth noting that most of the trouble he gets into here — and, for that matter, that he nearly got himself into with Tuco last week — came from him exercising a conscience that will mostly lie dormant by the time he's Saul Goodman. In alerting the...

During last night’s midseason finale of The Walking Dead, AMC decided to provide fans with a real “first look” at the Breaking Bad spin-off series Better Call Saul. However, instead of airing a new teaser or trailer for Better Call Saul, AMC decided to show a full length clip from the upcoming series, featuring an upset Saul Goodman and an even more ticked off Mike Ehrmantraut having a little bit of a confrontation, and as you can see for yourself in the clip below, it doesn’t go as smoothly as Saul probably probably thought it would. Without spoiling exactly what happens in the video (if you’re a Breaking Bad fan, you’ll enjoy the humor in it), let’s get into some things it does tell us. First, it appears that Better Call Saul, which is a prequel to the events of Breaking Bad (hence why Mike...

Is it the weekend yet? Because we're not sure how much more work we can accomplish after watching this video. And surely LeBron James is wondering, "Why didn't I think of that?!" Comedian Frank Caliendo stopped by Espn Radio's Mike & Mike show this morning, where he proceeded to read LeBron's insta-classic essay published by Sports Illustrated that announced his intent to return his talents to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Oh, but he didn't just read it. He read it while impersonating Morgan Freeman in solemn yet inspirational Shawshank Redemption mode. "Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball,"...

Welcome to "Arrested Development" Rewatch. Leading up to the release of Season 4, Zap2it will be taking a look back at the 53 episodes that made "Ad" one of our most beloved TV comedies. Watch the first three seasons of "Arrested Development" on Netflix. Today we're covering the Season 1 episode "My Mother, the Car," which premiered Dec. 21, 2003.
Is Lucille Bluth really as terrible a mother as she seems? Short answer: Yes. "My Mother, the Car" focuses primarily on the relationship between the Bluth matriarch and her children, with Lucille repeatedly failing to throw herself a surprise birthday party. The chemistry between Jessica Walter and Jason Bateman really comes to the forefront here, though David Cross' Tobias is noticeably absent. It's nice to finally get a sense of the central Bluth dynamic in this Season 1 episode.
Plot: It's Lucille's birthday, but Michael won't give her the money to throw herself the extravagant party she wants.

“Someone asked me recently, ‘How important are clothes to a movie about stripping?’ And all I could say was, ‘Without the clothes, you really don’t have an act as a stripper. You’ve got to have something to take off,’” says Magic Mike costume designer Christopher Peterson. Fair enough. An Emmy nominee last year for his work on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Peterson did some quick research for the film by visiting several male revues on both coasts. What he learned immediately: “A guy walks out onstage, tears his pants off, it’s guaranteed to get a reaction every single time.

Following a 183-day hiatus, Burn Notice Season 6 kicked off with a strong premiere last Thursday.

What was your favorite scene from the premiere?
Christine: I loved the scene at the end where Fiona studies the photos. I was a little worried she was going to buy the story about Michael's death but if anyone knows explosions, it's Fi. The determined look in her eyes when she calls that Agent out was beautiful. That's why I love Fiona.
Miranda: The final Fiona scene! I love that she looked at the pictures again, applied her extensive knowledge of how to blow things up, and realized that she was being lied to.

This interview was conducted by Jim Batts on November 11th, 2011.
Bill Plympton is one of the most creative and prolific artists to emerge out of the independent animation shorts film arena of the late 1980′s. His short Your Face was nominated for an Academy Award and follow-up shorts like How To Kiss and How To Quit Smoking became the highlights of several traveling animation compilations and festivals. He soon branched out into feature films with The Tune and set up a New York animation studio to produce commercials and music videos along with more features and shorts. Recently Plympton has helmed several live action features. He’s here in St. Louis to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 20th Annual Stella Artois St. Louis International Film Festival. Mr. Plympton was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to speak with me by phone.

On this week's episode of Nikita, "Girl's Best Friend," Twilight’s Edi Gathegi guest starred as a playboy, terrorist son of a president.
I have to admit that I was a bit angry at the show for playing a trick on viewers, as I found myself saying ‘I knew it!’ when it was revealed that Nathan was part of Division.
However, it turned out to be a dream.
Every week this show comes up with more impressive hiding places for detonators. It was good to see Michael show some independence, even when in cahoots with Nikita. You can’t expect him to listen to all of her instructions.
That Swiss chick Anya really gave Nikita a run for her money. As discussed in my interview with Maggie Q, she does all of her own stunts, so you know she got some bruises from that fight. This show was definitely not lacking in the action department.

Krista and Matt face off at "Redemption Island," while Zapatera turns into a battle of Stephanie vs. Sarita.
Redemption Island
Matt and Krista bond over their love of the Lord, but she says she'll still go tough on him in the duel. The next day they get their faith on and bond. When it's time for the duel, Andrea/Natalie and Julie/Mike show up to watch. The duel is retrieving bags of balls, using a ball to solve a table maze.
Krista is really good at the grappling hook retrieval of bags, so she has a lead going into the maze, albeit not a huge one. Matt catches up, though, and pulls it out because Krista drops her ball through a hole when she's almost done. She leaves her Bible with Matt and he's touched.

Greetings A-List fans. Also, a big howdy do to all you lookie-loos who can't seem to avert your eyes from this trainwreck of a show.
In this week's installment, Ryan celebrates his 30th birthday with botox injections and shirtless bartenders. Meanwhile, Austin tries to crash the Hamptons and cracks jokes about Reichen's manhood, thereby giving queen bee wannabe Derek the goods to rat him out.
Meanwhile, Rodiney strikes some dirty poses for Mike Ruiz, who seems like he's making a brief crossover guest appearance from some other, better show.
And Reichen cries to Mommy Lehmkuhl about the burdens of being ... Reichen.
Hard Help is Good to Find
Things kick off with Ryan planning for his 30th birthday celebration. He wants to make it a fundraiser for the Ali Forney Center, an organization that assists homeless Glbt youth. Ryan also wants shirtless bartenders and maybe a drag number. "You know, something really classy.

Country is coming and Shania Twain is coming back to "American Idol" next week. Fox previously told Zap2it that she was not confirmed, so we're glad they got Shania locked in to mentor, as she was an excellent guest judge.
Fox also announced performances by Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts for the results show on Wednesday, April 28.
We do have to say that we wish the catalog was just country music and not specific to Shania. She's great, very talented vocalist. But her songs are in that beautiful-woman-pop-country vein and it really limits the contestants. We fear there could be some bad Kountry Karaoke in store. It will certainly be an interesting week, to say the least.
We definitely think the Idols need to steer clear of the really well-known Shania songs because we've all heard them a zillion times, plus then tend to be Women Power songs ("Any Man of Mine,...
