Christopher Slaski is a graduate of Cambridge University and the Royal Academy of Music, London where he studied with Sir Richard Rodney Bennett. He also attended Ennio Morricone's international summer school "Musica per film" at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Sienna. Working primarily in European independent cinema, he has pursued his artistic activities across every area of applied music including feature films, short films, documentaries, television drama, animation, theatre and commercials. He has worked with respected ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra and his music for film has been recognised at an international level. In 2009 he was named Best Young European Film Composer at the World Soundtrack Awards and this year he was nominated for Best Original Score at the Austrian Film Awards. He has both British and Polish nationality.

Feature film scores include Beyond The Sea, a Hollywood biopic directed by and starring Kevin Spacey, French art-house fantasy The Pianotuner Of Earthquakes directed by The Quay Brothers, Spanish romantic-comedy Semen, Una Historia de Amor, thriller Proyecto Dos, social drama La Vergüenza, Lebanese Socio-political drama Rue Huvelin and most recently the Oliver Stone produced feature-documentary A Good American, for which his score was nominated for Best Music at the Austrian Filmpreis 2017.
Christopher has composed music for many short films too, including the Spanish-French co-production Cuadrilátero, starring Mathieu Amalric and Tu o Yo which was premiered at the Valladolid International Film Festival in 2015.
He has composed music for over 50 commercials including Carlsberg, Marks & Spencer, Compare The Market, Mercedes, British Airways, O2/Telefonica, Ancestry, More Than and Unilever. Additionally, he has created a large body of library music which is used extensively all over the world - his most recent orchestral album has just been recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London for Audio Network.
His work in television include original scores for documentaries, animation films and dramas, notably the score for BAFTA-nominated drama All About Me, directed by Beryl Richards.
His work for theatre includes the music for a production in Madrid of Lope de Vega's "El Perro Del Hortelano" directed by Laurence Boswell (Royal Shakespeare Company).
Aside from applied music, his symphonic work the Frank Lloyd Wright Suite has been performed and recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra and he has had works performed at the Royal Albert Hall Proms. His discography includes the original soundtrack album The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes, A Good American and the compilation album Film Works, released in 2016 by Quartet Records.
He has been an international Jury-member of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film festival and is a member of the European Film Academy.
