- It's hard to objectively judge your art, but if someone adds yours to their "favorites" check if they have good taste
- Animation can be a long, slow process, but the great thing about it is that when you inevitably get sick of what you're working on, there's always somewhere else to focus. Tired of looking at your character's big, dumb face? Work on the effects. Sick of the effects? Maybe now's a good time to choose the soundtrack, or tweak the audio. Sick of the whole damn thing? Start filling the background with hidden penises.
- Pay attention to the assumptions people will make when they see the characters. Then keep track of every action they take, big and small, and make sure it reveals something new, surprising, and interesting about them without breaking character consistency
