- Mike Starr was born on April 4, 1966 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. He was an actor, known for Singles (1992), Lassie (1994) and Alice in Chains: Rooster (1993). He died on March 8, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

- He was reportedly the last person to see his former Alice in Chains bandmate Layne Staley alive. During his appearance on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) in 2010, Starr revealed that he spent time with Layne the day before he died and admitted to feeling guilty about not calling 911 after Staley had warned him against it. Starr stated that Staley called after him as he left: "Not like this, don't leave like this". Starr apologized to Staley's mother on the show for not calling 911 to help her son.
- Original bassist for Alice in Chains. Starr left the band shortly after the Hollywood Rock concert in Rio de Janeiro on January 22, 1993, stating that he wanted to spend more time with his family.
