"The King of Wakanda is here." Disney has debuted an international trailer for Marvel's Black Panther movie, with a tiny bit of extra footage not seen in the first two trailers. Most of the new shots include some Wakanda technology, which is one of the coolest details about this movie. Directed by Ryan Coogler (of Fruitvale Station, Creed), the story follows King T'Challa, once again played by Chadwick Boseman, who goes back to his African nation of Wakanda after the events of Civil War. There he encounters new enemies that want to challenge his seat on the throne, and destroy Wakanda. The outstanding ensemble cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis as Klaw, Florence Kasumba, John Kani, Winston Duke, and Sterling K. Brown. Oh hell yes this looks great, I'm so there on opening day. Bring on Black Panther.

Thor: Ragnarok has only just entered cinemas worldwide, but Marvel’s already plowing ahead with promoting their next movie: Black Panther. Based on Chadwick Boseman’s standout debut as T’Challa in last year’s Captain America: Civil War and the two awesome trailers released so far, it’s quickly become one of the most eagerly-awaited films of 2018, and also has one of the finest casts ever assembled for an McU movie.
Speaking of which, Black Panther‘s major players are all showcased in this new batch of character posters. In a clever piece of synchronicity, each of the film’s stars shared their own respective one-sheet on their Twitter accounts, and they can all be seen in the gallery down below.
The posters feature the following characters: King T’Chlla, his mother Ramonda (Angela Bassett), his sister Shuri (Letitia Wright), love interest Nakia (Lupita N’yongo), royal guard Okoye...

When Black Panther burst onto screens in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, he became an instant fan favourite. With his distinctive costume and unique, formidable fighting style, the superhero alter-ego of T’Challa of Wakanda won the hearts of the audience, first with his determination to avenge the death of his father – King T’Chaka – and then, with the mercy he showed the perpetrator.
So, when Marvel announced that the iconic character would be starring in his own movie, the news was met with celebration. But – with a 50-year history of addressing themes ranging from apartheid and colonization, to sexual politics and familial rivalries – there’s far more to Black Panther than we’ve seen so far.
As we gear up for more from the promotional campaign, we’ve decided to put together a handy guide detailing everything you need to know about the King of Wakanda ahead of his...

Funny or Die has released an amusing spoof trailer that mashes together the upcoming Marvel movie Black Panther with the classic 1988 film Coming to America. It's called "Black Panther is Coming to America" and it puts Eddie Murphy in the role of Black Panther. It's kind of cool to see how well the two films work together.
In Coming to America, Murphy plays Prince Akeem, and that character amusingly slips into the role of King T'Challa. There are also some silly little action sequences from Coming to America that are spliced into the action sequences in Black Panther, and it hilariously works! You'll see what I mean when you watch it! Enjoy!

"My son, it is your time. You get to decide what kind of King you are going to be." Disney has revealed the full-length official trailer for Marvel's Black Panther movie, directed by the talented filmmaker Ryan Coogler (of Fruitvale Station, Creed), and it looks awesome. The story follows King T'Challa, once again played by Chadwick Boseman, who goes back to his African nation of Wakanda after the events of Civil War. There he encounters new enemies that want to challenge his seat on the throne, and destroy Wakanda. The outstanding ensemble cast includes Michael B. This looks damn good. Yes it looks like another Marvel movie, but I dig the Coogler's style and boldness, seems a bit more unique than others. Check it out.

With all the excitement swirling around the recent new trailers for both Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Justice League, it’s easy to forget that there’s another massive blockbuster quickly approaching that’s also due for another preview. That’d be Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, which is getting ready to claw its way into theatres on February 16th. Sure, that may still be a ways away, but given that the last proper trailer we got was back in June, we’d say that it’s about time some new footage reared its head, wouldn’t you?
Thankfully, it looks like we’ll be getting just that quite soon. A few weeks back, ComicBook.com reported that the next preview was on the way and now, it’s been confirmed. Though we don’t have an exact date for when we can expect it to debut just yet,...

Aside from the fact that Marvel’s Black Panther spinoff is the final McU flick to precede the all-encompassing Avengers: Infinity War, the Ryan Coogler-directed origin movie is about to become the studio’s first big-budget blockbuster to be anchored by a black superhero.
That responsibility has been thrust on the burly shoulders of Chadwick Boseman, who made his Marvel debut via Captain America: Civil War back in 2016. Indeed, Joe and Anthony Russo’s super-sized ensemble movie helped lay the groundwork for Black Panther in that King T’Chaka of Wakanda, father to the young T’Challa (Boseman), was killed off during the opening portion of Civil War.
His death sent shockwaves all the way to the fictional African nation of Wakanda. Considered the rightful heir by the late T’Chaka, Chadwick Boseman’s title lead assumes the throne, but there are those who believe the young, wet-behind-the-ears T’Challa is unfit to rule.

Walking Dead and Black Panther star Danai Gurira is set to star in Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War. She will reprise her role as Okoye from Black Panther, who is one of the ferocious female warriors who watch over and guard the royal family and King of Wakanda.
We got our first look at the Okoye in action in the trailer for Black Panther and it certainly looks like she's going to kick her fair share of ass in the film. We still don't know all the little details about her character, but it's obviously important enough to bring into the action of Infinity War.
She is obviously a trusted guard and advisor. After all, in the Black Panther trailer, she is standing alongside King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) as Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) is being interrogated by Everett Ross (Martin Freeman). It seems like something you'd only want to bring a trusted advisor to.

The first Black Panther trailer dialed up the mystery of the fictional Wakanda while also showing off just how badass the Dora Milaje is, including Danai Gurira’s Okoye, a member of the royal guard who is seen alongside King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman). The preview did an excellent job of priming us for the release of the McU film, which unfortunately is still about eight months away. Although we can’t make that time go by any faster, we can tell you that we’ll be seeing plenty of Okoye next year, as Deadline reports that Gurira is set to appear in Avengers: Infinity War. The next three Marvel Studios movies, made without any deal or collaboration with Sony Pictures, are Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War. With Black Panther and Infinity War, we officially know precious little about the story-lines, aside from the knowledge we have about characters like Black Panther and Thanos from the comics, and what little has been established about them both in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus far. Even when it comes to Thor: Ragnarok, for which we do have a trailer, there are many unknowns in the basic plot. Thor loses Mjolnir and Asgard falls, but how does the ending of Thor: The Dark World with Loki on the thrown play into Hela's rise?

At this point in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s an inevitable element of predictability to each new movie. Such is the lot of the cohesive film franchise that, 15 entries in, it’s possible to anticipate with some degree of certainty the direction in which new instalments will likely head. The trick for the creative personnel involved is to balance that predictability with enough surprises to keep audiences interested – and, thankfully, this is something at which Marvel is highly skilled. So, the new synopses for Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War make for intriguing reading because – to varying degrees – they each confirm the expected, while hinting at twists and revelations.
The information comes from License! Global Magazine, and was shared on Twitter by Rochi Shion. There’s much to unpack, so let’s take a look at each synopsis in order of movie release date.

It's a risk letting anyone see how the superhero sausage is made, but that's exactly what Marvel Studios did when they opened the doors of their offices to a pack of reporters on Monday night for an Open House. It seems like every time a little more information about Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther dribbles out, it gets a little harder to wait for its July 2018 release. And that’s certainly the case today, as we learn that Winston Duke will be joining the cast as the evil master warrior M’Baku, otherwise known as Man-Ape, according to Variety. By our count, that makes at least three villains in the comic book adaptation, after Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o as Erik Killmonger and Malice respectively.
It should be pretty interesting to see how co-writer-director Coogler handles the character, as he’s traditionally prone to wearing an ostentatious white gorilla suit and trying to overthrow King T’Challa in order to restore the African nation of Wakanda to a state of primitive technology. While Marvel Studio’s Comic-Con panel may have been light on actual footage fit for those beyond the confines of Hall H, it made up for it with some mind blowing casting reveals. Chief among them was the confirmation of a pretty a-list cast for Ryan Coogler’s (Creed) Black Panther, with Chadwick Bose of course returning to capitalise on his scene stealing turn as the hero in Captain America: Civil War. Opposing him in the villain role is Coogler regular Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, a mercenary who has his eyes set on destroying Boseman’s King T’Challa for exiling his family from their home of Wakanda. Lupita Nynog’o has been confirmed as love interest Nakiaa, but don’t expect a typical romance as she is one of the Dora Milaje, the deadly Wakandan royal guard who are also groomed as suitors for the king. They...

Black Panther may be over two years and five Marvel films from its release, but that hasn't stopped immense hype surrounding the movie. In addition to solid introduction the character received in this month's Captain America: Civil War, the fact that there will be a black actor leading a superhero film is quite the big deal. Sure, it's happened before with the Blade series, but in the current generation of films, most non-white actors have been reduced to side characters. With a reported 90% African or African American cast, Black Panther promises to be a step in the right direction for diversity in Hollywood.
Ever since Civil War hit theaters a few weeks back, there have been tons of reports and rumors surrounding the cast. In talks to join the flick have been Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B. Jordan, but of course there is a much greater cast surrounding the flick,...

Comicbook.com (via Empire) posted an excerpt from The Empire Film Podcast where the special guest was none other than Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. During the podcast, Feige talked about the casting for Marvel's "Black Panther" solo film starring Chadwick Boseman as King T'Challa which will be directed and co-written by "Fruitvale Station" and "Creed" director Ryan Coogler.
For expectations on the cast, Feige said:
"That will be amongst the best ensembles we've ever had. And 90% of the cast is either African or African-American."
Casting is already underway for "Black Panther," as this week it was announced that Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B. Jordan will be joining Chadwick Boseman in the film.

In the Captain America: Civil War mid-credits sequence, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier) are reunited, but things still don't bode well for Bucky. While all of Bucky’s memories have returned, he knows that his Hydra brainwashing could kick back in at any time with just a simple code word or phrase. While it's hard for Cap to accept, he respect's his friend's decision and says his goodbyes as Bucky is put back on ice. As we get a look around the advanced laboratory setting, Steve finds himself standing next to King T’Challa (Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman), whom he thanks for his help, but also warns that the government will come after him to get to Bucky. Just like the comics, the McU.s Black Panther is the leader of Wakanda. While the African nation is one of the most technologically-advanced countries on Earth, it.s also notable for its massive supply of vibranium, the same metal that Captain America.s shield is made of. Naturally, the material is one of their key natural resources, and in King T.Challa.s case, he.s put it to good use by putting it in his Black Panther costume, which gives him one big advantage in Captain America: Civil War. Actor Chadwick Boseman spoke in detail about the Black Panther costume.s main capability thanks to being infused with vibranium: absorbing attacks from an opponent. He told EW: The vibranium is a metal that is dynamic. It can change how it.s used. It.s not a liquid, but it has the ability to change shape and change form...

For years now Comic Book Fans (myself included) have been calling for Marvel to give us King T'Challa A.K.A. The Black Panther in one of it's awesome movies, and though we knew The Black Panther was going to be in Captain America: The Civil War movie, tonight for the first time in a trailer aired on Jimmy Kimmel we got to see just that! Now to me the Black Panther looks incredible! His character will be played by Chadwick Boseman, and this summer some set photos of an unflattering Black Panther suit worn by a stunt double caused quite a buzz on the internet! Some believe that they were looking at a finished product of The Panther's costume, but I knew the loose fitting outfit is made for a stunt man, but this sleek, beautiful, jet black suit, with platinum trim steals the show or in...

Although he was falsely accused while Luke Cage was in prison he was experimented on, giving him super human strength, and unbreakable skin, leaving him hell bent on kicking ass in the mean streets of Harlem. The role of Luke Cage was given to Michael Colter. The series is beginning to film and Marvel has already announced some of it's pretty impressive cast. It will be starring Alfre Woodard and Mahershala Ali just to name a couple. I won't pretend to know everything there is to know about Luke Cage and his comic book, those of you who know me on here, you know I am more of a Captain America and Black Panther guy, but Luke Cage did appear in my favorite Black Panther comic written by Reginald Hudland titled 'Bad Mutha'. Black Panther won't be coming our way till 2018, due to Spider-Man's first foray in the Marvel Cinematic Universe knocking it from it's original 2017 release date, but with Chadwick Boseman donning the panther mask, alter ego of Prince T'Challa of the technology advanced African nation of Wakanda, for a big role in Captain America: Civil War, rumours are circulating about casting of his supporting cast, namely his father King T'Chaka. We've heard rumblings that Civil War will travel to Wakanda, possibly as part T'Challa's origin story, and now Latino Review are reporting that Winston Zedemore himself, Ernie Hudson, is in line to play the role of his father, citing he has been hitting the gym and spotted with back issues of Black Panther comics. This doesn't mean he's locked in for the role, and the rumour is still just that at this stage, but if Marvel really is looking to cast King T'Chaka,...

Resident Ghostbusters Alum Ernie Hudson is in talks to be in Marvel's The Black Panther! Read on for more!
Ever since we heard the news of Chadwick Boseman playing T'Challa or The Black Panther, news has been quiet out of the Wakanda camp. That is until now, as rumors have surfaced of Ernie Hudson playing King T'Chaka father of T'Challa and ruler of Wakanda.
While this is still a rumor, we can't help but be excited for the prospect of seeing the Great Ernie Hudson play the King of Wakanda. Hudson is no stranger to the limelight, being a veteran of television and film for over 30 years. We have no doubt he'll do the King T'Chaka justice.
However, the party may be short lived. If they follow the comics as well as we know Marvel to do, this may be Ernie Hudson's first and last Marvel movie.

We're only a few weeks away from "Avengers: Age of Ultron," a film which also includes the first hints of the world that we'll later see in the standalone "Black Panther" movie due for release in 2018.
Today, El Mayimbe has posted a report that says former "Ghostbusters" star Ernie Hudson is circling the role of King T'Chaka in the movie. The character is the ruler of Wakanda, and father to Chadwick Boseman's character T'Challa (a.k.a. The Black Panther).
The report says Hudson has been hitting the gym and picking up back issues of the Black Panther comic books that pertain to T'Chaka. As the film has no director yet, it'll be some time off. But Boseman's T'Challa is set to make his debut in "Captain America: Civil War" which begins shooting very shortly.
Could King T'Chaka also make an appearance in that film? Another question...

For people of my generation Ernie Hudson will always be remembered as a member of the Ghostbusters. Of course, he's had a lengthy post-Ghostbusters career and even calls his role as Winston Zeddemore the "most painful" part of his career. Now, perhaps a whole new generation of moviegoers will see him as a different character as Latino-Review.com's Umberto Gonzalez reports Hudson "is circling the role of King T'Chaka ruler of Wakanda and father of Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa" in Marvel's Black Panther. We already know Boseman will make his first appearance as T'Challa in Captain America: Civil War and keeping the Black Panther ties alive, Andy Serkis is playing Ulysses Klaw in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Klaw, in comics lore, is responsible for murdering King T'Chaka, which could serve as a through-line for these films, tying them all together. https://twitter.com/Ernie_Hudson/status/521878942895325184 readmore postid="173069" However,...

Marvel’s Black Panther solo film may have been pushed from its original November 2017 release date to the summer of 2018 to accommodate the next Spider-Man movie, but if we’re lucky, could get our first look at Wakanda sooner than that. Chadwick Boseman is set to debut as T’Challa in next year’s Captain America: Civil War and now, a key role in the Black Panther mythos may have been cast.
According to Latino-Review, former Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson is circling the role of King T’Chaka, T’Challa’s father. In the comics, T’Chaka rules over and protects Wakanda and its vibranium mines before being killed by Ulysses Klaw, who’s being played by Andy Serkis in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

It looks like somebody has given Ernie Hudson something else to do other than complain about the "Ghostbusters" movies that have women, or how the franchise didn't make him as famous as he thought he would be. Marvel apparently has an open spot on the roster, giving Hudson another chance to step into the blockbuster playground. Latino Review reports that Hudson is circling the role of King T'Chaka. He is the ruler of Wakanda, the home of Black Panther (set to be played by Chadwick Boseman), and in comics lore, he was murdered by Ulysses Klaw (played by Andy Serkis in the upcoming "Avengers: Age Of Ultron"). So, will we see the character pop up in "Captain America: Civil War," where Black Panther is also expected to drop by? Or is he just prepping for the solo "Black Panther" movie (which seems doubtful since it doesn't drop until 2018)? We'll leave the guesswork to you.

El Mayimbe is back with another Marvel scoop, and this one is sure to make Black Panther fans very happy. It looks like the next major role to be cast will be that of King T'Chaka; and according to Mayimbe Ernie Hudson (The Crow, Ghostbusters, Oz) is being looked at to play him. T'Chaka was T'Challa/Black Panther's Father, and in the comics held the title of Chieftain of Wakanda -- pledged to protect the sacred metal known as Vibranium. He was also an ally of Captain America's, and had superhuman strength, speed and agility thanks to a sacred herb that he alone was granted access to. Of course the movie version will probably differ significantly in that regard! Hudson will be best know for playing Winston Zeddemore in the Ghostbusters flicks, but he's appeared in many popular movies since then including The Crow and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle.
